"Andy from Clifton Park Chimney performed an inspection of the fireplace chimney. He completed the inspection and identified there was no need to do a cleaning. He answered all questions and was a pleasure to deal with. He also performed an inspection of the outside chimney and provided tips on care and maintenance. As an added service, he inspected the dryer venting system, checking the air flow, to see if there were any problems (there were none). Andy was on time for the appointment, was very professional and provided good suggestions on maintenance. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone needing a chimney inspection. I cannot speak to actually cleaning the chimney as this work was not needed, but based on his thorough inspection I'm sure they would also do a thorough cleaning job if applicable. "By far the best business experience I have had in a long time. Where to start, Paul the salesman was great, he came out for a quote no hassle. Looked at the roof and quoted me quickly. I told him I had another company I was comparing to and would get back to him. No pressure tactics. Communication was consistent and clear. Booked appointment and was able to have an install date within a week! Now fast forward to the install day. Kevin is the man (I assume foreman) was at the job 45 mins before his team was supposed to get there to go over everything with me. He explained what he would be doing and if anything throughout the day changed he would not only text/call but text pictures of everything. A few pieces of plywood needed to be replaced and Boom pictures came to my phone of where and the old pieces to see the damaged ones. He kept his word all the way to the point that i had a tree company coming to quote me on taking trees down and i received text messages from Kevin that they were there in the back quoting my other job. Lastly i had an old dish on the house which i requested to come off. Not only did they take the dish off and remove the wire but the Vines that were climbing up the lines one of his guys was ripping those out and off for me. All in all i can't say how impressed i am with this team. They truly went above and beyond and when you spend a good amount of money on companies to work at your home it can make you nervous on what type of outcome it will be. I have no doubts about this company and recommend if you ever need anything roof related to please contact them for your job. "We hired chimney heroes to perform our chimney inspection prior to purchasing a home. We worked with Jared and his assistant. They were punctual and immediately respectful of the home, ensuring that they used the proper equipment to keep the house clean. They explained each step of the way, along with how their tools worked and what they should expect to see. They encouraged us to watch while they worked so that they could give us recommendations, and explain any risks associated with some of their findings. "Tom and his crew  (zack and E Jay) arrived in time , had all the supplies. ready and started  the job. <br>Once they were up there realized that there was extra work to be done replacing all the wood at top since it was rotten under the existing chase top. They replaced ,took pictures of the whole process as a prove and put the new stainless steal chase top based on what I wanted , the respected my opinion and answered my questions. <br>The chimney sweep was good the guys inside the house were careful and didn't leave any traces after they finish, great clean up and gave me tips on the upkeep since is a different system that the average chimney. <br>I am very happy with their service."

"I called Tim because of problems with leaks around the chimney that were not solved when a roofer replaced the roof and did a poor job fitting new shingles into old flashing, and due to cracks in the mortar between the stones and loose stones that may have contributed to the leaks. Tim was great to work with. I had to wait a while to get the work done because he was booked up, and also had to reschedule once due to weather, but the job went well and I'm satisfied with the result. It was planned to be 1 days work, but ran over into a couple hours a second day. Tim probably did a bit more work than originally planned due to the condition of the chimney (more loose and deteriorating brick discovered once Tim ground out old mortar and removed the old flashing). He repointed the chimney by grinding out all the old mortar and replacing, reset some stones and replaced some brick than came loose, and replaced all the flashing and a few roofing shingles. He also applied a sealant to the crown. Tim also installed a new cap, and recommended some additional work I could do myself (applying a sealant after the mortar had time to set, he told me what to use and where to get it), and described other work that could be done, including installing a top damper and new stainless flue liner. Tim did a good job, I'm satisfied with the result. The leaks I had seem to be fixed, and the result looks good. The only thing Tim didn't do that he said he would was to use copper flashing. He actually installed aluminum, but it looks good and is installed well, and should hold up. I was happy with Tim's work and would recommend him."

"Installation was well done and the installers were knowledgeable about the product. I did not care for the hearth options they had so I had a hearth stone custom cut and I installed it. Also, the quote for the chimney repairs that were needed was almost twice what was quoted by to other highly rated masons. Based on this I subcontracted the masonry work to another company."

"I needed to replace my hot water heater and wanted it done ASAP. As usual, I checked reviews on Angie's List and called several area plumbers. Most could not get to me for a day or two. When I talked to Benjamin Franklin's contact person, Chris, she took my information, gave me an exact and guaranteed price quote and said someone would get there later in the day. Within 30 minutes, she called back and informed me she found a plumber who would be over within the hour. The technician, Mike S., also called to let me know he was on his way. The replacement required some creative problem-solving, and Mike S. answered the challenge in a calm and intelligent manner. He worked quickly without rushing and explained to me much of what he was doing (I tend to ask a lot of questions). All went very well, including a thorough clean-up, and a careful removal of the old heater. I found the experience as stress-free as a plumbing emergency can go. Next plumbing job I need, I'll most assuredly be calling Benjamin Franklin."
