"We are going to buy a new house and sell current house. There are some small repairs that we want to get done before putting it on the market such as new GFIs, patching ceiling, replacing very old locks, and repair some vinyl floor in the bath. We wanted them done ASAP. We called Bob and told him about the work. He said he had been booked for the next month. But since these are small jobs and we are close to where he lives, he can come and work on weekends if we don t mind. We love that he can come on weekends since we don t need to take time off from work. (We both work and have two children and have been taking frequent time off due to their being sick.) He even said he wouldn t charge us more for coming after hours. He called us before he came. The first time he looked at our problems and told us what he can fix. He was very honest. He told us he would take care of most of them. He told us how he was going to repair our vinyl floor in the bath due to some stain left from previous work, and he needed a repair kit from store. He didn t think we need to repair it and it wouldn t hurt us selling the house. He started by replacing our old locks. Our doors are covered by metal sheet so it s very tough to work with. He worked hard and patiently, and got them done very well. He then replaced a failed GFI in the bath with the parts he carried in his van. He also checked our other plugs in another bath and kitchen and told us that we should have GFIs in bath and around kitchen sink, otherwise they would be picked up by inspector. He also told us that by new building code, all plugs in the eating area next to kitchen should be protected by kitchen s GFI. He wrote down the parts we need to buy and told us to call him when we had them. During his second visit, he patched our ceiling, replaced GFIs for another bath and kitchen, checked everything to make sure they worked fine and other plugs are protected the way they should be. There are some parts that the store staff didn t pick right for me. He drove me to the closed store and got right ones. There are on jumbo plate that the store didn t carry. Bob gave me another electrical store and told me to check with them. He even called me later and said if I still can t find the part, he can offer another alternative. I can t say enough about Bob. He took care of our problems as if his own. He did exactly what he promised in his flyer: have you taken care of without leaving you broke. He offered flat rate pricing (by hour), not by job. It s so simple and straightforward and not often seen from others. He is honest and trustworthy. I am a somewhat handy man and I have done some small jobs for our own house, and I like to watch and learn from other professionals. Bob has never hesitated to answer my questions and explain to me why he did this and that. He even taught me some of his tricks. We have booked him for some other jobs for our new house. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and co-workers."
