"Greg came to the house today the morning after we called him. (Both our clothes washer and our refrigerator had problems.) He was on time and diagnosed the problems on both the fridge and the clothes washer within 15 minutes; had the parts with him; and had them both fixed within an hour. Total bill -- $197.00, of which about $90.00 was for parts and $65.00 was for the service call for both appliances so he only charged $30.00 for his labor, and the rest was tax.. Sears wanted to send a separate technician for each appliance -- i.e., two service calls, and their trip charge was $75.00 for each, and I also think they wanted to charge for mileage one way. A fellow from Des Moines wanted $75.00 to look at the first appliance, plus $25.00 for the second, plus a $15.00 mileage charge; and the other appliance repairman in Ames wanted $65.00 for a trip charge, plus $30.00 for the second appliance plus mileage outside the boundary of Ames.I would use Greg's Appliance Service again in a heartbeat. Great Service, great price. I have already recommended him to my friends in Ames, Iowa, where Greg's Appliance Service is located."

"Called many parts stores trying to find one that I could pick it up because I needed it right away and didn't want to pay $10.00-$15.00 for shipping one parts store told me to try repair clinic so I called and they had my part! So drove out picked up part this place was amazing they seemed to have everything! will be going back. I had several plumbing issues and didn't expect to have them all completed the same day, but Scott managed to get them all done in one afternoon, including making s run for parts and a new disposal. He explained the cause of each issue and his planned fix before he went ahead. Most of of it ended up being relatively small repairs but I know some plumbers would have replaced rather than fixed to make more money. Very honest, good communication, reasonable pricing, skilled work - I will call them for all of my plumbing needs."

"We have hired West Side Appliance several times over the years, for appliances in 2 different houses, incl, stove repair (x2), dryer repair and vent cleaning, refrigerator repair, and washer repair. They are always professional and knowledgeable, and have always been very good about discussing options (i.e. when a repair is not needed or would not be warranted given the age and condition of the appliance). All of the repairs they have performed have worked well and needed no further adjustments/work. I will continue to hire them, and recommend them to anyone who asks. I wouldn't say they work cheaply, but having things done correctly the first time, and getting honest advice about when repairs are NOT needed is worth a lot."
