"When we purchased our house several years ago, we knew we would have to install a patio as there was nothing in our backyard but grass. We found Jay with Advanced Curb Appeal at the Houston Home and Garden Show. His booth accurately displayed the type of pavers he would use to create our patio. After taking bids from 5 other companies, Jay's prices were very competitive and I decided that Advanced Curb Appeal would be the company to install our patio. Jay met with us to get an idea of what we were looking for and approximate cost to install. He made recommendations as to color and type of paver. Next, he showed us examples of the bricks and explained the process. Jay then worked with our HOA to receive approval for the install. Once the crew came out, they worked nonstop! Each paver was placed with care. They spent a lot of time making sure it was level and that any water would drain correctly. The results are stunning and I could not be happier. "If you have never hired a tree service before, the process is an education. Quality and price vary widely. The learning curve for consumers like myself, like a tree, is almost vertical, because this is information you don’t usually come across in everyday living. No one tells you that you better check the company’s insurance/worker’s comp (otherwise YOU could be liable for mishaps) and that YOU have to SEE the insurance paper and not simply rely on the word of the company, many who advertise that they have insurance but do not. Arbor-Tech Consulting has all the papers showing their insurance and were happy to send them to me via email. I received a total of 5 bids, from a low of $700 (from a company who walked out after all the workers/trucks arrived the day of the job so cheapest is not always best) to over $8,000 from a company who wanted to use my neighbor’s yard and driveway to put the branches down because it was easier for them (what?) to remove a very large dying tree from my tiny back yard.. Arbor-Tech Consulting was a breath of much needed fresh air. Eric is a courteous, easy to talk to business owner who doesn’t mind questions and explains everything. He looked at the tree and gave me a very reasonable bid. More, he explained step by step how he was going to have the tree trimming done, as I was understandably anxious about the huge job, my very tiny yard (which by the way is filled with gardens and a couple baby miniature fruit trees I didn’t want smooshed). He absolutely knows what he is talking about., he is a Master Arborist, but he also knows how to explain the procedures and reasoning to someone like me who has never had this sort of huge tree job done. Before he even left I knew that his company was the one I wanted to go with. He gave me a written quote, emailed the proper insurance papers, and a couple days later was able to fit me in to his schedule. His crew arrived on time and got right to work. They were courteous, appeared to be very experienced. Their cutter Derrick, who is the rock star of a tree cutting crew (who are all very talented and hard working), was amazing. He skillfully cut the branches (while 70 feet up on another branch) and sent them down to the waiting crew via a tag line, where the branches are tied and controlled to they do not fall and do damage in small spaces like mine. They worked all day, and left the area nice and clean. What was most amazing? Not one leaf of my gardens in the teeny back yard was harmed. Arbor-Tech Consulting is going to be my tree service from now on. They are skilled, honest, and hard working. You can’t ask for more than that."

"They tore out some patio concrete the previous owner had put in badly, and replaced it with pea gravel concrete. They also demolished and hauled off some rotted decking and an old hot tub. They did a great job and were super nice."
