Most recently: new hot water heater (replace and install), new RO faucet, née garbage disposal and install, sewage line flush most recent. Called first thing this morning. "The work they did was very good. The billing was horrible. The insurance took care of the most part, but company's communication was not good. It took six to eight weeks to fix the work. They fixed the problem. The actual physical problem they did was very good. The manager discussed a procedure and we never gave an okay to do it, they just showed one day and we didn't know what they were doing. It was a $25000 procedure and we were shocked. I got a call from that plumber at 4pm saying they could not make it because they were caught at another job and did not know when they would finish. We are still living in Dallas and had to move schedules and drive an hour to get here to meet the plumber. <br /> I went to Angie's list and found Doug Powers with Powers Plumbing. I explained my situation and he told me he could be at the location within an hour. He was right on time. <br /> I explained what I needed done, and he proceeded to get right to work and got our new sink, faucet, and disposal installed in just a little over an hour. He then fixed a leaking water line, that we had to have fixed prior to a new refrigerator being installed the next day. He had to make a quick run to get a part and fixed the problem exactly the way we wanted. <br /> They were extremely professional, and did an excellent job on all that they did. They cleaned up after themselves and everything has worked exactly the way we wanted and expected. The best part was the cost was not near what I expected based on my experiences with other plumbers. It was very fair and reasonable. I felt I got great value for what I paid. <br /> I will use Powers again and highly recommend them. Their responsiveness and the quality of their work was a breath of fresh air in the plumbing profession. <br />"

After one day, I realized that it wasnt going to work( he portrayed himself off as a finish carpenter , but turned out to be a framer at best!! We are a small company the consists of only three employees. We normally do all the work required on a jobsite unless a third party is required for other services we don't offer. We except most methods of billing procedures. Materials must me purchased by customer needed for the job. Customer will only be charged for labor or special materials mentioned in the job contract!

"They came out and cleaned out a stopped up sewer line. It was the second time in several months. They then told us the sewer line was broke under the house and it needed to be excavated and replaced. We told them to give us an estimate. We waited and waited. We called them again and waited. We called them a third time for an estimate. We never heard from them again. We have been their customer for several decades. If they had been unable to do the work why didn't they just say so or better yet refer us to someone who could. We are now sitting here waiting for an unknown company to come and do the work. If the work is minor they seem to be able to do the work. If it's major ...don't call them. So much for doing business locally. <br />"
