Considering it had rusted through in several locations, Carlos advised me to replace all of the plumbing, but did give me several options to choose from if that wasn't in the budget. I work in the construction industry, so I'm lucky to have some people who I trust for advice. After seeking the opinion of a trusted construction partner, I decided that the investment in new Pex plumbing would be worthwhile and that they were asking a fair price. While they were doing the replacement, I decided to get some other work done at the same time because they offered it at a good deal. The workers that performed the installation were very friendly and even played with my puppy dog and let him out while I was gone- I really appreciated that gesture. When something didn't go to my expectation, they made it right- something I think is a true litmus test for a company's integrity. They also warranted the new plumbing system for 10 years, which I find to be very important because it makes me feel like they stand behind their product. Every interaction with them has been incredibly professional and they go above and beyond. I always feel like they have genuine concern that I am happy with their work, and I will definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs.

"Whew, we have a RELATIONSHIP with Abacus at this point. We've been using them since 2016 and with the exception of the most recent job, we've had major issues with every job we've hired them for. BUT, they are amazing at coming back, at no charge, to correct everything and make sure we're 100% satisfied with the work. I fully trust that if I have a problem with any work they've performed, I can call & they will come & make it right. That's not trust you can have with just anyone. Our first major project was when we noticed a massive leak in our front yard in May 2016. We discovered the previous installation of a water softener system was done incorrectly, so we had them install a new one, fix the issues, and replace our water heaters with one tankless water heater. It was a huge, very costly project. They did it quickly, but there was some internal communication issues and a final inspection and review was never completed. After a few months went by, we contacted and the supervisor inspected and they even came out when the city shut off our gas, as we could smell gas in our backyard & we discovered the leak was our neighbor's. But, they didn't charge to come out, since they'd dropped the ball on their work that could have impacted gas lines. Our second major project was to replace our electrical box after it was fried and replace our HVAC system. The electrician messed up big time, I had to HOUND their supervisors and spend way too much time losing my mind at some people, but since then, they've given me top notch customer service & completely rectified the situation. They did end up compensating us for their errors and turned around a terrible mess of a job. Our latest major project was a whole house re-piping after the winter storm. They responded SO quickly to us, the guys were AMAZING, and honestly, this job only had a few minor, minor hiccups and that they were there for us in such a crazy, stressful time, means the world to us. They did great work, were very timely, and very respectful of our house and time. Overall, Abacus is very expensive. You need to stay on top of communication with them, because their internal communication isn't the strongest. But at the end of the day, we will continue to go back to them because they do always make sure we're taken care of and will do whatever they need to to make things right."

"Gary Frith (Houston Handyman) did an awesome job! We had rotting trim around an outside door, 4 posts supporting a patio roof, and surrounding chimney. Gary replaced or repaired all the rotting trim pieces (using Hardie-plank for replacements). Gary worked quickly and efficiently.
