"Our home had a septic system that was illegally installed using cheap thin wall PVC that collapsed when the fill dirt covered the trench. Over time, the system backed up and would not drain properly. The initial plan was to replace the cheap PVC from the tank to the distribution box with SDR17, however we found the line to be over 5 feet deep, (it was a long run) which means the leach field had to be as deep or deeper.....John analyzed the existing system and decided there was no way to make it work, while at the same time meeting code.
