Our old kitchen was narrow, dark, and closed off from the rest of the house. It is now bright, open, functional, and beautiful, with blue cabinetry, quartz countertops and backsplash, a large island, updated lighting, new appliances, and much better flow. One of the most impressive parts of the project was what they did with the original brick arches. Before the remodel, the arches were only visible from the sunroom side; the other side had been covered up. They preserved the arches and exposed them from both sides, turning them into a true architectural feature of the home. That detail alone made the whole space feel more open, intentional, and connected while still honoring the character of the house. "We are very happy with the remodel. Jason, the project manager, was great to work with. He called at least once a day to check on our satisfaction with the job and to answer any questions. Jason also visited the work site most days and we reviewed the work each time. Jason quickly responded to several concerns we had and solved the problems quickly. The job supervisor, Walter, was also did a great job. Like Jason, he was very responsive to our concerns and ensured that the quality of the work met our requirements. At least one workman came every day, often two. The work was completed quickly and they cleaned up after each work day. We highly recommend VKB kitchen and Bath."

"Everything from the bidding process, through completion, was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Dimitri and every person who he brought into our home treated it as anyone would want their own to be treated. This was not a small project. They vaulted the ceiling in the living area, completely removing the roof on half the house, and did a full new roof. Matched the existing red oak hardwood flooring, and sanded/re-stained the entire upstairs. All the plumbing and electrical in the entire house was replace. New kitchen, 3.5 new bathrooms, finished basement, combined two bedrooms to make a master suite. New HVAC. New generator…. You name it, and it was done. When all was said and done, I think our two hall bedrooms were the one walls that weren’t torn down. We could not possibly recommend Dimitri and his company (his two sons work with him as well) any higher. They are honest, and hard working. Old school in all the best ways."

"We were doing a complete gut/remodel job on our kitchen and adding a bathroom where there was a covered back porch. My husband and I were interested in doing portions of the work ourselves, and the John Ruth company was more than willing to coordinate with us on this. We did the demo down to the studs, and they came in and took out the load bearing walls, adding support beams (with a structural engineers plan) and then proceeded to frame in the back porch. At every step of the way, when Will and Mike anticipated a problem that we would encounter when working on our part of it, they explained it to us, and were more than helpful and accommodating. In terms of plumbing, every old pipe in the house was replaced, they roughed in the bathroom according to our plans, and installed the shower pan. They also serviced our old heater and made some tweaks to the system, very knowledgeable about older homes and hot water/steam heat systems. We can't say enough good things about this company - everyone LOVES our kitchen and we loved having the guys here working. Totally trusted them to come and go with house open. They were clean and respectful, and always cleaned up at end of day. Seriously, you want this company to do work for you!"
