"My fence installation was completed on 5/9/2024, so this review is 4 months after install. BLUF: Excellent quality work and knowledge. Great communication about project while in-person. Poor communication about coming and going. Unclear communication about costs throughout. Poor customer support after final payment. Will not use again. *The company* below means *Pro Caliber Fence and Deck*. *The owner* below means *Jeremiah Strawderman*. *The crew* below means *employees or hired hands for Pro Caliber Fence and Deck*. Knowledge and Work: - Mostly outstanding! - No other fencing company walked me through what would be best for my situation. - Very pleased with the crew. - A gate was installed incorrectly and needed repairs after 4 months (used different company). Pricing and Costs: - Very pleased with the initial quote. - I believe the cost should have decreased at the end, but I did not argue it because things happened during this project where I know the company lost money (Ill explain below). - Your cost may go up if material cost increases, and your cost will not decrease if they use less materials than quoted. There is no written policy on this. - My initial invoice pricing never changed. The amount of material and labor required during the job turned out to be less than the original quote, and the owner said money would come off of the labor. The total remained unchanged even after reminding the owner. Im okay with it, but its not great practice. - The company bought the wrong fence posts initially. The owner told me this was *on them* as far as cost (plus the correct posts were in the original invoice), but toward the end of the project the owner used it as an excuse for why money did not come off the total. It was a crap excuse, but I took it as meaning he was not going to take any money off and the series of events made me okay with this. Timeliness / Logistics: - Multiple things affected the timeliness of this project that made the company seem like they didnt have their stuff together logistically. - Day 1 was supposed to be post install day. They bought the wrong style of fence posts. The correct style is in my original invoice, but there was an oversight. - The business they bought cedar stringers (two-by-fours) and pickets from had ruined their stringers (two-by-fours) when they arrived to pick up the materials, so they had to repurchase stringers (two-by-fours) from another business. - During install, the air compressor for the companys nail guns died, so they had to buy a new air compressor and new nail guns. - After returning with new nail guns and air compressor, the crew had realized they purchased longer nails than intended and had to leave to buy the correct size nails. - A couple times the crew would leave without a word and come back many hours later. Communication / Customer Support: - Communication was mostly great while on site. Very friendly and willing to explain things. It lacked when off site. - Times for showing up or returning to site were rarely communicated. - When it came to communication about costs, it came across as hand-wavy/unclear/misleading. - At fence completion, the owner said to me, *If you need anything at all, please contact us.* The owners interaction with me does not support this attitude.- We agreed on a metal gate latching system versus a pull-string on my single door which was not installed after my final payment. After 4 weeks of getting a different timeframe that they would be installing the new latch and then didnt show up, there were a couple of fence pickets that could use replacing so I asked the owner if they replaced that sort of thing. The owners response was, *Its wood. Thats not on me,* and lectured me on how I got a deal on pricing and repairs cost them money instead of simply saying *no*. I got another company to complete their job and repairs."

"Dalton and his crew with Southern Elite Roofing & Remodeling came out and quoted putting a new roof on our new home. They were one of four quotes we received for the same job. During the quote they were very courteous and knowledgeable about roofing and explained everything very well. When we reviewed all four quotes Southern Elite was not the cheapest but were not far from it. We chose them because of their knowledge of everything roofing and insurance guidelines. They had the shingles and other supplies delivered a couple days before they were scheduled to start. Their crew finished up another job early and started ours late one afternoon. They ended up having to return the next day to finish…. Still a day or two ahead of the original plan. The roof looks great! I would not hesitate to use them again. "I,E.L.Sivels Capital Llc, stand firm, project move at a steady pace, but there was a few items that I was concerned about, the offset in the front of the roof pitch, wind prone shingles dangling at the corners, nails that was use as support was nail to the top layer of the shingles, expose wood that is subject to weather that should have been felt or flash. I have made several attempts in good faith reaching out, to get the problem solved.In all fairness he does call and response verbally to my concerns, but the conversation never leads to resolving the said problems that I am concern with."

"I wouldn't have believed how easy it would be to get a new roof until Chris showed me how. He really earns his business. Everything went very well.
Chris demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in helping my wife and me choose the best possible roof at the best possible price. He was thorough in explaining the pros and cons of each choice, and in the end he guided us toward what I think was the best choice for us, a metal roof. I thought this type of roof would be a whole lot more expensive than a regular shingle roof, but the difference wasn't too bad.
Chris is well-informed, convincing, and helpful in the extreme. He has a talented crew who performed excellent work. Chris also kept them working hard for an efficient installation. It did take a little longer than I had hoped to begin the work, but this was largely due to an extremely wet and rainy July. Otherwise, everything was extremely timely and professional. Chris is a talented, hard-working, and courteous person, and he has created an outstanding company in Elite Roofing.
One more thing: Chris Davis is an honest man. I would rehire him in a heartbeat, and I recommend him to all.
