"It went well.  Len is very knowledgeable regarding carpet cleaning, and he was helpful with information on cleaning up spills. There were several significant stains that he removed that have not returned after several months. The dirt returned quickly to a small but high traffic area. Len returned to re-clean that area at no charge.

"I've had my carpets cleaned by them for years but I've about decided I'm not going to call them back this year. I've worked with them for years and years and it's the same people, I don't know if they were just in a hurry that day but I was really surprised after they left. I move what furniture I can. When my husband was here, we pretty much everything out of their way even though we weren't required to. This time, I moved everything out of the way except the 2 big lounge chairs. They're supposed to move furniture that they can. After they left I realized they had not moved the chairs. Since they had kind of been pushed forward a  little bit, they were actually sitting on the dirty spot what I really wanted cleaned. I did call and complain to them about it and told them I was very unhappy with that. They did offer to come back and redo it. I think they would have made it right. I was just very surprised it happened in the first place because I was very familiar with the actual people that came. I don't know, I may call  to have them come back one more time this year and just talk to them about all that first and see what I think after they leave this time. Overall, through all the years they have been a really good company. It may have been a rushed day or something for them. The price is very reasonable. The people have always been very nice. I didn't find anything wrong with their attitude on anything. Speaking from all the times they've come I'd probably give them an A. They've always been very responsive. They usually call me about a year or sometimes 6 months, but always at least a year later and offer me a special in the neighborhood. That's when I have them come do it. They've always been punctual."

"This company was very professional from start to finish.  They sent somebody to measure the room and promptly called me later that day with an estimate which was more than reasonable.  They were very accommodating to our schedule and sent two installers on a day that was convenient to us.  The installation took most of the day and the installers were excellent.  I had used Volume Carpet Sales to install tile in a small guest bathroom several years ago and we were repeat customers with this most recent carpet installation.  I highly recommend this business---they are flooring experts.

"After 5 years of not having our carpets professionally cleaned and I just had a major spill earlier in the day. I called PROFESSIONAL CARPET SYSTEMS at noon. This was my 3rd call to request an estimate. The owner James said he can send the tech. (John) out this afternoon. John arrived at 2pm, he gave me the best quoits and said he could squeeze me in and start now. Others were booked out 7-14 days before they could come out just to give me an est. Many stains had to be cleaned, now our carpets look almost new – two thumbs up for these fellows! Thank you, Danny S. in Franklin"

"Angel and team did a great job. The courteous and professional work was done on time and true to the quote. We had hardwood removed, new hardwood installed, carpet replaced, and stairs converted to hardwood from carpet. They were able to match the stain to the new floors and were very detail oriented with the installation, finishing, and the clean up."

"Last year we decided to explore putting hardwood in our L-shaped den, kitchen, breakfast area of about 750 square feet. I called Mike at Nationwide and the rest was just too easy. He visited right away, we picked a beautiful 3/4" x 3" oak, two days later had a bid that was, frankly, lower than we expected, and we scheduled installation for the following week.
His crew was punctual and professional and friendly.  The quality was excellent. All in all, I can't imagine how it could have gone better.  Several doorways and inside kitchen closets, etc. and around the fireplace ..... all done carefully and well.
We will be calling again to replace the carpeting upstairs and to refinish our dining room. We have no hesitation recommending Mike/Nationwide to anyone.
PS:  I was surprised that I somehow neglected to do an Angie report last year!  May be this one will make two!  No worries, though, as I'm confident I would have said pretty much the same thing."

"In the home we had recently purchased, a small area behind a wet bar in the finished (carpeted) basement was not carpeted. Only old looking and dirty industrial carpet was showing. We needed this section to be fully carpeted. I selected a remnant piece of carpet from H and T's warehouse to be installed in this area, not needing the color to match exactly. The remnant was installed about a week later. It took Joey about 1-2 hours to install the carpet. He had not been told the fourth side would require him to glue a seam next to existing carpet, so it required more time and effort than he had anticipated. He assured me it was not unusual for the salesmen to inaccurately quote the price of installation but that my quoted price would not change (and it didn't). The installation, including the seam, looks great. Joey cleaned up as much as he could when finished. (His vacuum wasn't working well that day.) In addition, I purchased a remnant piece of carpet that was to be cut in half and each half bound, making two area rugs. These were to cover the hardwood floors in our children's bedrooms (ages 3 and 1). It took about 2 1/2 weeks for these two rugs to be finished. H and T was kind enough to deliver them to our house when they were picked up from the binder's shop. Our experience was a very good one."

"We are happy with our experience at Buddy Allen Carpet One. On the day we visited the showroom to shop for kitchen tile, Judson thoroughly explained their products and processes. We were impressed with the installers, Jerry and Bristol. They were hardworking and professional, arriving on time and completing the work within the three day time frame that Judson had estimated. The tile installation appears flawless with special care taken to fit all the awkward nooks and crannies as well as all the open areas in our breakfast room, kitchen and pantry."

"The time took a little bit longer than the salesman said, but I had approximated it very well. Carpets (of two different ages) look great. A few stains on the upholstery did not come out, and look worse. In fairness, I do not know how old the stains are since I inherited the furniture recently."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Antioch, TN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
