"My wife and I recently had a lot of plumbing work done in our 1962 home. The work required opening our plaster walls and ceilings at several locations. Hammers were used and major damage was done. Richard’s crew was able to repair all the openings to look like the original plasterwork. No one would ever know there had been major damage. Following the repair work, Richard’s crew remove the plaster “popcorn” from our ceilings. This “popcorn” was actual plaster, not the soft type installed over drywall in the 1970s. After removing the “popcorn”, a beautiful pattern commonly called “clouds” was added to provide a very modern look to our ceilings. A second crew then came in to paint the ceilings. We are very pleased with the results and have received a lot of great comments from our friends about the quality of the work. We have been able to make several referrals. All the work was done as requested and in a very timely manner. They were very careful to cover all surrounding areas to prevent any damage and they did a great job cleaning up afterward. All their work is exceptional, and the cost was very reasonable. We have used System One three times previously going back almost twenty years and their work has always been of very high quality. Richard and his people are great to work with and we highly recommend them."

"Tom and Fernando did a very good job, were punctual and very considerate of my family . Tom was very communicative regarding all work being done and let us know what was being done at all times. I was homebound during most of the job and Tom and his crew never made me feel like I was in the way even though I was. :) Also went above and beyond in taking care of things that he wasn't responsible for but just did it because it needed to be done- .ie a new light fixture , patching that was noticed later and also painted kitchen ceiling that another contractor didn't do and shouldve. Just all around nice people."

"Because we elected to replace our windows with nail-on installation, the work was quite extensive, but well worth it. For the enlarged windows, new wood headers were required, and the wood framing around and below the windows was replaced. And as walls were opened up, Elegant Openings replaced damaged wood framing that was exposed. The immediate and proper handling of the repairs was at a nominal additional cost. The benefits are large and lasting. Elegant Openings coordinated electrical, dry wall, stucco, framing, and window installation resources to complete the job. Due to the unexpected wood damage that was uncovered, the length of the job extended additional days. But their crew, headed by Jay Simmons, worked tirelessly and in good spirits until completion. The job is complete now, and our home is better inside and out."

"Carlos from WXD drywall and his crew came out to my house and bid the job he was the low bidder by several hundred bucks, He and his guys did a fantastic job flat out blew me away quality, they installed the dry wall using a higher quality drywall and then taped and mudded the walls and gave the whole project and additional Skim coat then sanded that so it is paint ready. The corners are sharp and the walls are flat as well they did a few patches around the house as an and quot;extraand quot;. I was really impressed with the work. The only thing I had a slight issue with is that different workers show up on different days and I was concerned for all my stuff I had in the Garage as neither he or I was on site all the time. That turned out fine, the workers were great. and my concerns about having these guys in my house was not and issue. I will use WDX drywall again and I'm not going to shop the work out to others for bid as Carlos has my confidence. I would highly recommend these guys. <br /> Greg Saunders <br />"

"Last week, I noticed a lot of bees flying around behind a three foot stucco wall that encloses my front porch. I discovered that they were flying in and out of a small hole in the wall. Because of the position of foliage in that area, I couldn't get a clear shot at it with bug spray without getting closer than I cared to. I found ABC in the Yellow Pages and checked the reviews here on Angie's List, and called ABC at around 3pm. They said they would have someone there between 4 and 6pm. Two workers arrived at around 5pm, checked out the situation, and gave me two options for remediation. The actual work took about 10 minutes. The worker who I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. He said that if for some reason the bees were still around in a week, they would come back, but as of this morning there is no sign of bee activity. <br /> BTW bee removal is not cheap. I've had it done before by another company in a different part of my house, so I've had some experience. However, I don't enjoy dealing with angry bees close up, so I'm happy to pay someone else to deal with it. I did get the 10% senior discount noted on Angie's List. You can expect the minimum charge to be anywhere from $250 to $500."
