They also replaced drywall damaged by water, made our old garage door look like new, repaired rotted wood on our portico, repaired ceiling and wall damage from a leak in our bedroom, replaced rotted crown moulding on a garden shed, and painted our living room with lots of wood trim. "I contacted Olford Construction to repair the drywall caused by a water leak in the ceiling. The plumber had to cut a hole in the ceiling to reach the damaged pipe. Quran Olford, the contractor, was excellent. He arrived punctually as we had discussed. Mr. Olford repaired the drywall, sanded and painted the ENTIRE ceiling area. The work was done to perfection and at a very reasonable cost! Another contractor had quoted me three times more! Quran was very neat, no paint drippings and left my home clean. I appreciated his attention to details. To repair the drywall and paint; Quran had to remove a ceiling light. He carefully replaced it. "Anthony and his company did a small remodel of my basement an added a laundry room.  He framed the laundry room, installed drywall and painted the room.  In my rec room he removed the wallpaper, painted the entire room and installed crown molding and chair rail.  I am thrilled with the quality of the work.  Anthony also did exterior painting to my garage door, front door and window frames at the front of my house.  Anthony is the owner and was on the job every day.  The work was performed in a timely manner and quite cost efficient. "It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Grady?s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Grady's Painting and Plastering & Construction"

"We had a cracked ceiling and sagging ceilings in 3 rooms, and a portion of drywall hanging but off the nails, larry and his son, replaced the broken pieces and shored up the rest with drywall nails, and insulation, and in some cases new drywall. A dirty, difficult job, which had to be done two days in a row as it required furniture moved and painters to follow. He recommended a painter for us as well, which allowed us to set the whole thing up for one week of inconvenience, but got the job done. He and his son were pleasant as well which helped through this trying experience. Since this problem is uniform through our development we had seen where ceilings had caved in on others and were caving in slowly on the rest and wanted this done before anything fell down on us and hurt us or guest. Larry cut out two days to do 3 rooms, which allowed us to set the painter up for completion. We also had to bring in a electrician to shore up a ceiling fan now that the ceilings were set properly."
