"Juan and his asistants from K, B & D Remodeling, LLC, did a fantastic job in my home. I had hired another company to waterproof the basement. To prepare for the basement waterproofing job, Juan and his workers did the demolition: removing all the perimeter wall drywall and most of the drop ceiling in the basement. After the other company installed the drainage tile system, Juan and his workers rebuilt my basement, including framing out all new walls, putting up drywall, sanding and painting the walls, installing new drop ceiling. I also had them put in new plumbing (my house is old) in the basement as well as some new electrical lines, including a new 220 line for my basement shop. Part of the basement floor needed repair, so Juan did that as well. He and his crew did other repairs as well in the basement as well as doing some roof repairs. Juan was easy to work with. "1st I I prepare the walls By scraping or open off I'm filling up the holes with plastic Then sand it down and put Is primer over it. Then I painted the walls a nice color Gray With a semi white baseballs and window seals I did this to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and the bathroom. It came up very nice I like to do my work as I like if it was my house . The owner was very pleased with the work I did . "Matt and I discussed the potential work over the phone, and he was able to give me an accurate estimate of cost, so I gave him the go-ahead to do the work.  He arrived on time with an assistant and got started right away.  In all, the work to strip and finish the tub took about 4 hours, as Matt told me to expect.  I believe drying time was 24 hours.
The results are terrific.  The tub looks good as new - shiny and bright  As an added bonus, the bottom of the tub is textured, meaning I no longer have to mess with a plastic bathmat. 
The tub is original to the home and, over time, the stopper in the drain disappeared.  I bought the home several years ago and have had to use a rubber stopper in order to fill the tub.  You know the know kind...a white rubber stopper complete with a chain.  Matt turned me onto a company who sell a cool fix for that problem.  I ordered a new drain, in the finish of my choice, that glued right on top of the existing drain (with a built in adhesive) including an integrated pop-up stopper and a strainer.  I bought a 2 piece set that included an overflow to match the drain and the total cost was around $50.  Thanks for that tip Matt!
