"Manfredia's Carpentry is a top notch contractor. I did a fireplace surround with stone and also added the stone on two columns off of the kitchen to match. The quality of their work is exceptional. They are very professional and always on time. They kept me informed every step of the way. They always kept the work site very clean. I couldn't be happier with the final outcome. We also stayed on budget. I would highly recommend Manfredia's Carpentry for any job. Well done. Thank you. Debbie"

"G & G Construction and Home Renovation, LLC offers an impressive service. They focus on efficient cleanup, use high-quality supplies, and are dedicated to their work, finishing projects in a timely manner. It's clear they listen to clients and do things the right way, which I really appreciate. If I need my home renovated again, I wouldn't hesitate to call them back. I was very happy with everything — especially the decorator consultant, Esther, who did an excellent job choosing the supplies and equipment needed. She is very professional. I highly recommend this company if you’re looking for top-notch supplies, equipment, and efficient work. They are the team to transform your bathroom from a dated 1920s look to a stunning space in 2026. I'm confident you'll love the results!"

"Bad Experience. Bait and Switched us. Told us the no more than cost of our removal verbally and then said he needed $4k to do the design with us and get final firm contract after that. I told him I was skeptical giving him $4k and then have him come back with contract stating it would cost a big percent more. He assured me “he is not that kind of guy”. Then after the design and a smaller scope he wanted to charge us 30% more. Took our money and we now have to start over with a new contractor."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Ardmore, PA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
