"I felt the need to write this review, although technically Greg and I have never done business. In the recent round of rain storms, my sump pump stopped working as it is supposed to, and I ended up with about 5 inches of groundwater in the basement. I was able to get the sump pump working again, but 3 days after it stopped raining, I was still getting a lot of water in the pit. I found a sticker for Contractors Waterfproofing, and figured they might of installed the system for the old owners, so I gave them a call. From the moment he picked up Greg was service oriented and responsive. He asked for my address to look up the job, and when he couldn't find it, he called back within 5 minutes to ask what was going on. I explained the problem, and he immediately told me that was normal for my part of town, and told me I just needed to replace the pump and I would be fine. He offered me a price that was half what his competitors charge, and was willing to explain the whole job in detail."

"Extremely responsive, courteous, performed work safely, using appropriate ladders during work, continuously keeping work area clean. Repaired leaky 2nd floor tub, installed new piping, caulked around tub, tested plumbing repairs for addl leaks, capable of 1st floor ceiling repairs after plumbing was replaced. Addl work performed - cleaned grease traps snd jet cleaned piping from house to sewer. Completed work on time, explained billing, explained follow up work. I will be hiring them again."

"SILA is never going to be the cheapest but if you want something diagnosed swiftly and fixed or replaced just as quickly, you can't go wrong with these guys. They were the only ones to correctly diagnosis and fix our ailing furnace three years ago, so we trust them. For this problem, they tried to get the old pump into working order (turns out it was the kind that needed to be oiled; the contractor, not SILA, who installed it along with a heavy duty basement dehumidifier, never told us it needed oiling for routine maintenance). The SILA tech did all the diagnostics on the drain hose (no blockage there) and then tried oiling the motor. It was running but not well enough to push the water up the hose and down the drain. A new pump was the last alternative. Within 20 minutes, the SILA tech replaced the pump with one identical to our furnace condensate pump, which never needs oiling. Everything is working fine now! They also have good coupons/deals when you get on their email/mailing list."

"They came out on a weekend and we're our saving grace during one of the most frustrating experiences we've had in this house. We couldn't use any plumbing without flooding the basement with sewage, it was early stay at home days, and we felt like we would go mad. They showed up and gave us an price for replacing the broken pipe, and set in to work. They worked for the entire weekend essentially, staying extremely late at night and showing up early the next morning, and at one point driving far out at night to get supplies since their usual local place was closed (again, quarantine time) . The reason it took so long was because after opening up the floor to get to the end of the pipe to replace it they found more damaged pipes, and replaced those as well. By the end of it they had spent the entire weekend on a job they expected to only last an afternoon, had charged us not nearly enough for the amount of work they did, and fixed a leaking bidet we had for free for good measure. They also advised us to do camera scan to look for any other problems, which they couldn't do until the water drained out, and even did an initial mop of the basement (which, remember, sewage flooding). I'm honestly half convinced these people are magic helpful brownies or something, it's unreal how helpful they were! Somehow our drier which has not succeeded in drying clothes for over a year has started working in a single cycle since they left, despite the fact they didn't even do anything with it, and in fact specifically said they don't do driers and offered to recommend someone else when we mentioned it. Suffice to say, I cannot recommend them highly enough"

"Kevin was excellent.  Not only was the multi-point inspection performed but he also pointed out a leaky return duct, verified that the system was installed correctly (there was some doubts about the previous installer) and checked supply and return temperatures at multiple ducts to diagnose exactly what was wrong with the system.  As an engineer myself I was very impressed with his technical knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to deliver quality service.  I plan on using them for all my HVAC needs in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great service at reasonable prices. <br />"
