"Dabella is an amazing company to work with for roofing services! Jordan is very personable, courteous, and took time to explain every detail involved in the process. During the job the installers were on top of everything! Cleaned my yard every day and enjoyed watching my dog try to supervise them! Highly recommend using DaBella for any service they offer!"

"Beyond HAPPY! Our home in Gilbert AZ was leaking after a few big rain storms. I was driving through our neighborhood and noticed True Built was replacing our neighbors roof so I reached out to the company. Why I Hired True Built? LICENSED, BONDED, INSURED : They are licensed, bonded, and insured. The first thing I do before hiring any contractor is verify the contractor is licensed and insured through the AZ ROC. PRICE: I had 4 different roofing contractors come out to our home to inspect and give us quotes. They were all scattered, didn't want to give quotes for 3 days, quotes were super high, and poor presentation. When I called Weston at True Built, he moved his schedule around to come out, inspect, and give me a quote. He gave me a quote within an hour or less. He is super friendly, non-sale-zy, not pushy, clean, professional, straightforward, and extremely knowledgeable. His price beat all other estimates and provided higher quality and warranty. SERVICE: Just talk to Weston for 3 minutes and you will see what I mean. Customer focused. Straight shooter. Nice all around. His guys did a great job cleaning up the site after getting the job done. SPEED: When your roof leaks, it needs to be fixed and fixed quickly before more internal home damage. He makes you a priority. By the way, look at all his awesome reviews on Angie's List. He has been around for a LONG time. Not a fly-by-night company. Establish, credible, verified, licensed, bonded, insured, etc. True Built checks all the right box's for me."

"Sheldon and his team went over and beyond what we had hoped or expected. They were prompt, courteous and meticulous when it comes to detail. Our roof was installed so it extended the warranty to survive 130 mph winds. Sheldon extended our ridge vent to extend the whole length of our roof and added a ridge vent in a hipped area to give us better air circulation. The team arrived on time each morning and cleaned up after themselves in the evening. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Sheldon Murphy and TSM Roofing."

"Five roofers checked the roof and offered their fixes. Explanations differs as well as prices (from $1500 to $3700). Paul Huckins from Trades Unlimited sounded most convincing. He didn't come on the agreed day but the next one. His team finished work the same day. It looks fine. There were no rains, so. Also warranty is given for five years."

"Communicating with Shane is an easy and pleasant experience. His sister (better-looking than him) works the front office. He listens well and provided a signed, no-obligation, detailed written estimate before any work was begun. The work was begun and completed as promised, even with 105 + degree heat with one small exception. When the oversight was discovered and brought to his attention a week later, Shane dispatched a crew within one hour of my call to take care of the remaining two items. Of course, this call back did not result in any additional costs.
The Roofing Company provided me with a 2 year warranty on all materials and labor. Thank you Shane for exceptional service!"

"I must have called 5-6 roofers out before I finally got a hold of Art King Roofing.  I needed a estimate I had been fighting with people that sold me this house about roof repairs they had done in the middle of closing that were leaking  causing even more damage. On top of that they had left me with a wind turbine that when it got windy the whole block could hear my turbine squeaking.
At first I contacted Art King Roofing just for a quote on a Wind Turbine. Everyone else was $200-300 for just a wind turbine.  Art King Roofing did my turbine for $100, Because of my convenient location to where they were and while out gave me an estimate on the things I needed done on my guest house / patio roof. Justin was the one that came out he did a great job with my turbine and even checked everything else out to ensure there were no other uknown leaks.
I called back later that week about my estimate for the patio / guest house. I then met with Art to go over everything in person 1 more time.I wasn't sure all what I was going to get done, But he really helped me figure out my options and worked within the budget I had set out for me by the people that screwed up the work the first time.
He actually came out 2-3 more times as I was unsure and had several questions and he was very patient about it. I could tell they were very busy, But that did not take away from the attention I was given or the quality of work.
I finally chose a course of how to move forward with everything replacing parts of the guest house and totally tearing down and basically rebuilding the patio roof short of the frame itself. I have basically mostly new wood now on my patio roof and I went up and looked at the work it looks great.
Justin came out the day of the bigger job with another worker they tore off my flat patio roof and some other stuff and Art showed up to see how everything looked under it. Things were different then he thought they would be it turned into more of a difficult job, But he did not penalize me for it ( thank you! ) as far as money goes he only made me pay for the extra material which is totally reasonable considering it was 3x more pieces of plywood than what was originally agree'd on and also a little extra wood here and there.
They did a good job at clean up and when I went up to look at the work on the roof it looked great.
Im very happy I found Art King Roofing I would probably still be trying to figure out how to get all this work done if I had not.
If your having roofing problems give Art King Roofing a call today they will make them go away and simplify everything for you. Don't get frustrated if they are busy or take a little while to get back to you they want your business they are just extremely busy, Because of the fact they are a good company. I saw reviews of people upset Art couldn't get right to them.
My work was done on a Sunday that is how busy they are and that is how commited they are to customer service as I really wanted to get the work done ASAP and they totally made it work even though they are booked up for the next 2 weeks at least. Thanks again Art and Justin.

"The repair went very well- all crew members were very professional, timely and accommodating. I had to ask for temporary roof protection due to anticipated rain prior to scheduled repair. Ridge roofing made arrangement for that the next day and I avoided additional damage to my house. Their pricing was reasonable and I would highly recommend them to other people. "The roof on my house received wind damage from a very windy storm. 1st contractor didn't show to do the job when he said he would! Called Scott (Field Manager) w/Beach Ventures 5 hours after the "No show" and he was able to show up to the job site THAT DAY! He saw the roof was exposed to the elements so he went to Walmart to buy some tarps to cover it until his crew could do the job. It seemed to me , that he was more concerned about the roof being exposed and wanting to protect it, then he was about winning the bid! VERY IMPRESSED! He was here from 4:PM till 6:30PM. When he left, I had the roof protected along with a written estimate of the work. Compared to the other quotes I got, the quote was in the middle of the pack. Scott stayed in contact with me for the scheduling which was two days off. The very next day the owner of the company, Zane, showed up to evaluate the job to see what would be needed. His crew showed up the next day, earlier than expected and started on the job immediately. They even continued there work during a down poor of rain! A bit latter, Zane (the 0wner) showed up and got up on the roof with his crew until the job was completed! He even looked at the entire roof and replace a few other broken tile. It is very rare to come across a contractor and crew that are so dedicated to, not only their work, but to their customer. Scott and Zane both, exhibited a concern for the repair as if it was their own house! I couldn't be more pleased with their concern, efforts, craftsmanship, and diligence! I'll never use anyone else again!"

"My wife and I are very pleased with Frontline Consultants & Contracting. We have needed to replace our roof for sometime now and Frontline gave us a more then reasonable price. They were very upfront with costs before and during the process. Calling and keeping us updated every step of the way. Everyone we talked to was friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to complete our roof within two days, in the hot AZ heat. They made sure all sides of the house were cleaned up before they left. Overall, we are very pleased withe outcome of our brand new roof and appreciate the craftsmanship. I would highly recommend them to someone and use them for future projects."

FAQs for wood shake or composite roofing installation and replacement projects in Arlington, AZ

Cedar shakes and wood shingles might seem similar, but they have some important differences. Cedar shakes are hand-split, giving them a unique, textured appearance that adds rustic charm to your roof. They're great for homeowners who want a distinctive look. Wood shingles, conversely, are machine-made, providing a smooth, uniform appearance for a more modern look. Shakes tend to be more expensive due to the craftsmanship involved but offer exceptional beauty and resilience.

A well-maintained cedar shake roof can last up to 60 years. However, factors like severe weather and improper ventilation can reduce its lifespan. You should consider replacing your roof if you notice persistent leaks, visible water damage, curling or splitting shakes, moss growth, rot, or missing shakes. Regular inspections can help you determine when it's time for a replacement.

When hiring a roofing contractor for your cedar shake roof, asking the right questions is important. Make sure they are fully certified and have extensive experience with cedar installations. Verify that their team is licensed, bonded, and insured. Ask for details about the materials they use, such as the type of underlayment and fasteners, and how they ensure proper ventilation. Getting multiple written estimates can help you compare options and choose a contractor who offers quality workmanship at a fair price.
