"Carlos came recommended by our structural engineer. I had met with 2 other contractors but they were not the right ones for the job. Our work included adding support beams in the attic involved opening up walls and ceiling, and to put the room back together installing new crown moldings etc. These guys are the best contractors I have worked with. (I have worked with several including 2 whole house remodel.) Their team always show up on time and are respectful of your space and clean after themselves. Carlos is organized, offers great communication and suggestions. Always keeping you appraised of progress and raise potential red flags. Their work passed City's inspection with no problem whatsoever. Would hire them again when it's time to remodel bathrooms."

Customers say: Quality work

"Project: Remodel a Kitchen Roy and Mac are very professional, knowledgeable and great to work with. We had a pretty major remodel which was a taking a wall out of the kitchen to open it up to the dining/living area. This include removing cabinets, adding cabinets, refinishing cabinets, adding new beams for structural bracing, re-texturing and painting wall, adding light fixtures, etc. We also had an existing porch expanded and enclosed for a sun-room at the same time the kitchen was coming together. The kitchen and sun-room both turned out great!"

Customers say: Quality work

"We have a large steel building that needed ventilation fans and vents installed. Plus some of our interior rooms needed sealing for new hvac. He got the work done and did a frat job. The air quality inside has never been better and the ac rooms are much more comfy. He worked around our busy facility schedule and did an awesome job."

"The reviews and photos don’t lie. Luxe Haus Renovations did a remarkable job on my bathroom, kitchen, and closet remodel. Tim and Betty are both super responsive, and professional. This is a very honest company and they will work until the customer is happy, even on weekends. I had a very tight timeline for my project (3 weeks total) for 2 complete bathroom demo’s and remodels, kitchen cabinet refacing, and closet build outs. The job was 80% done in 3 weeks and I was able to move in while they finished the rest. Very moderately priced as well. I will definitely use them for another project and would recommend them, especially for full bathroom remodels."

"I had a house fire which left a partially demoed structure that I wanted to salvage and build onto. This was a special construction project that I knew could be done, but I was getting a lot of push-back in terms of feasibility. The structural foundation was still intact, but creating the finished product was a bit of a challenge. I talked to at least a dozen contractors who either over-bid or who did not have the expertise to address the special challenges of the project. I finally met Joe from Dream Construction on a bid-walk, and I knew right away that this was the contractor to handle the project. I pointed out some of what other contractors saw as issues that could not be worked with, but on the bid-walk Joe readily provided several viable solutions beyond my study with structural engineers and architects I talked to to address the special issues of my project. The more I got to know Joe, the more I specifically wanted his firm to build my house. He and his family are outstanding people who accept nothing but the best quality of a job well done. This came across to me as he assisted me in developing the scope of work for my project to make more efficient and better quality changes to what I had already drawn up. On this particular project I contracted with Joe to construct a new roof, build out the entire interior, a deck, an outdoor shower, and other special features. It would take too many words for a brief review to express how pleased I am with the finished products of his work. His subcontractors did excellent work as well, and the input he provided up front in the planning phases of the project proved their merit at the completion of the project. I was lucky to obtain the high level quality for such a fair and reasonable price, and I feel blessed to have run into him to take on my project. I highly recommend Dream Construction for any construction job. Very talented."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Arlington, TX

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
