"We hired Matson Construction initially to build custom bookcases for two bedrooms. After meeting with John, the owner, and saw how knowledgeable and professional he was, we added a custom office and sliding closet door as additional projects. Needless to say, the job was not easy -- our custom home had custom crown molding and doors that had to be matched and both the bookcases and office had complicated design elements that we wanted to be incorporated. With his knowledge and experience, John gave us suggestions on how to achieve everything we wanted both functionally and aesthetically. All the carpentry work was done by him personally and the workmanship is unsurpassed. He came on time, gave us daily progress reports, and was able to finish on schedule. We picked a tile from Floor and Decor and set out to find a contractor. The first contractor, highly recommended on Angi, came in and proposed an installation that would have cost over $6,000. That struck us as much too high. We then approached JW, which had done work for us in the past, and got an estimate that struck us as reasonable. But to get their top tile installer, Cesar Miranda, we had to wait nearly two months. We decided to wait and are glad we did. When he arrived, he brought three different grout and gave us our choice. He then did an outstanding installation."
