"The technician quickly determined what the problem was, a worn out motor. (Showed me the motor and it was definitely shot) He had the unit back up and running in an hour..Awesome! It was a relief to know the unit could be repaired and not replaced. I definitely recommend Thermo Direct!"

"Wonderful. Very personable, explained everything in detail, listened to all my concern's. Very professional, checked everything and made sure everything worked perfectly. I could not have found anyone better than Drip Doctors. Pipes that had to be dug up and replaced they returned the yard back to as close as they could before digging. When grass grows it will look pretty much the same. I would highly recommend them to anyone that has plumber problems and pipe problems. They helped the hard experience of all that had to be done easier for me with their wonderful attitude towards their client, me, by helping me understand what and why each procedure was done. They are great, the plumbers to call."

"The representative who initially came to the house to explain BDry's procedure was very courteous and professional. I received a quote on the spot. I had two other companies come out (one company did not even bother to get back to me with an estimate). Each company had a different opinion of what needed to be done and BDry's procedure was the least invasive and made the most sense. The team who actually did the work was very courteous and stayed until the job was done - a 12 hour process. (That was one question I didn't think to ask - approximately how long would it take) They communicated with us throughout the day, for example they asked where we wanted the sump pump to drain, instead of just making the decision. Overall, I am very happy we chose BDry.!"

"At four o’clock on Monday, my roommate called to let me know there was no water. I suspected it was the pressure switch and using Angie’s List I found Clayton. The name sounded familiar and I suspected they had worked on my well previously when my parents owned the house. I called Jimmy and by 5:00 p.m., he was at my house as he had been in the area. He replaced the pressure switch and gauge but it did no good. Upon further investigation, he suspected it was the pump and arranged to come out on Tuesday morning by 8:00 a.m. He and Danny showed up right on time and proceeded to start pulling up the pump. It was quite the chore seeing as how my well is 410 feet deep and very stubborn. Jimmy, Danny, and their helper Will, were such professionals! They took the time to explain what they were doing and why. Jimmy offered me a couple of different options for replacing the pump, he was very candid about the pros and cons of each, and I chose to go with his recommendation. After replacing the pump, it was clearly working but the pressure was not building as fast as they thought it should and they asked if I had any leaks in the house. I did not believe so but with a closer look I found a toilet that was leaking in the tank. Danny looked and was dismayed to find that the toilet did NOT have a water shut off valve. At this point, it was late in the day, I had already paid Jimmy for the work, and I needed to go feed a friend’s cats. It was decided that they would go work on another job and return at 7:15 p.m. Danny gave me a list of items to purchase from Lowes and when they came back, right on time, he fixed the toilet AND added a water cut off valve. Jimmy even replaced my old, rotted, well cover that was older than I am. I cannot say enough good things about Clayton Well & Pump Service. They were responsive, professional, courteous, they picked up after themselves, and were reasonably priced. They made sure the job was done and that it was done correctly. I would not hesitate to use them again nor to recommend them to my friends and neighbors."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Asheboro, NC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
