"Greg showed up - precisely on time, first thing in the morning, I might add - and went right to work. He explained how hyrdostatic pressure works against concrete and advised that the hole may not be source of the water after all, or at least not the only source. He told me how I could repair it myself, easily and inexpensively, with injection concrete. He was straightforward in saying it might not get the job done, though, and explained what would be involved in digging out a well for a sump system if the water returned. The estimated hassle and price was far less than I was expecting to hear, and if I need future help, I will definitely contact A Better Crawlspace to do the work. After spending half an hour explaining everything to me, Greg wouldn't accept any payment because he hadn't done any work. I was floored by his candor and honesty, It's a rare thing to find a company that won't rook you for a job you may not even need, and then walk out the door none the richer for sharing valuable experience.
