"Had all windows on my home replaced by window world of Tallahassee, Florida. The installation was completed 2 days before Hurricane Hermine hit us. I had major anxiety as to how they would perform since I had not even experienced a thunderstorm with them let alone a Hurricane, Well they performed very well and even the noise was cut down. Window World did everything they represented to me they would do. Good price, excellent value and installation. Very professional business and people."

"All Custom Aluminum recently completed a 14 x 22 patio cover with a pergola trim package to replace an existing wooden pergola patio cover that was deteriorating. I was very happy with the finished product and with every aspect of the project from quote to completion. The sales staff quickly responded to my on-line request for product information with several options to meet my needs and quickly provided a detailed and reasonably priced quote. They provided timely and safe demolition of the existing structure and quickly completed construction of a custom water-tight patio cover with the look of a pergola that was compatible with other existing pergola structures in my yard."

"It went awesomely! Due to living far away we couldn't visit the construction site, but they uploaded frequent photos to their awesome client web site where we could also see photos of items we chose and other details. Even did Facetime walkthroughs with us. Kessler was super responsive to any inquiries we had and were very professional. We really couldn't be happier. We just moved in a few weeks ago and the attention to detail is awesome, and all the work inside and out is really top notch. We'd totally use them again if we ever needed to build another house in the Tallahassee area. Really nice gift basked too at the end with very personal touches unique to our house. Can't say enough good things :)"

"Lloyd is the owner of Better Builders and does almost all of the work himself. He assisted me at Home Depot with designing kitchen renovation which was huge considering the layout of the kitchen was completely changed. Nothing was a problem to him, even moving the fridge plumbing and all of the electrical per my hopes and expectations for the newer design. This took a couple of two hour sittings and required someone who understood probability and outcome which I did not. Lloyd was incredibly helpful and PATIENT, I never felt rushed and he even encouraged me to wait and take my time thinking about what what I really wanted. <br /> <br /> Lloyd installed the new cabinets as well as my farmhouse sink which challenged installing a disposal. It took 4 hrs to install it but he never gave up and I appreciate it, especially each time I forget to check for utensils and ruin another fork LOL. He installed subway tile backsplash and despite his reservations always did it my way. I wanted no granite on the back splash which is a newer trend to increase the space between counter and cabinet for height. It also cuts costs! <br /> <br /> Lloyd gutted the master bath back to the studs, removed the ceiling and again reconfigured EVERYTHING using the large jetted tub area as space to create space to build an additional half bathroom accessible from the living area. This required jackhammering extensively for new plumbing locations. the washer/dryer remained in the same area of master bath but I got stackables which he installed himself. He has an excellent understanding of space and designed the bathroom as we stood there and talked. The shower was moved across the room, vanity removed and replaced not to mention the completely new bathroom he added from nothing. He built all of the new walls, ceiling, electrical and plumbing. Excellent. <br /> <br /> The original fireplace mantle and shelving were very basic, he removed them and built new per my specifications with a couple of great additional ideas. They are ceiling to floor shelves and cabinets, truly beautiful and everyone who comes in remarks on how grand they look. Lloyd mentioned Home Depot had kitchen cabinets on sale so I bought those for the bottom part. They look great and saved me alot of $$. <br /> <br /> He also removed an attached screen porch and repaired the siding. He installed my storm door, new light fixtures throughout. <br /> <br /> Lloyd is a gentleman, very cheerful and easy to work with. He did alot of things that were not on my list and was always very gracious. <br /> <br /> My only complaint (wouldn't be realistic if I didn't have one) is once the project was 95% complete he got distracted with other jobs and had trouble getting back to finish up details. However, each time he comes back to do a tweak here and there he always ends up doing more and NEVER complains. He did say he won't do subway tile in a shower my size again and I wouldn't ask him to. It wasn't his primary skill set but it looks good anyway, he can do whatever he sets his mind to. <br /> <br /> Lloyd's price was based on labor. I paid for ALL supplies from grout to electrical outlets to faucets and toilets. <br /> <br /> Clearly this was a huge project, I am very happy with the final result and appreciate all of Lloyd's efforts. The wood floor guy I hired LIED to me saying Lloyd was going to finish the details so I paid him and let him go. Lloyd had told him no such thing but he graciously finished the flooring work for the lying jerk. <br /> <br /> This made me appreciate Lloyd's work ethic once again, very glad I found Lloyd on Angie's list!!!"

"I contracted with G&S on April 28, 2017. The cost was $6000 and I was asked to pay 1/2 down so that materials could be ordered. I was promised a 2-3 week completion schedule. My family was to move into the property by June 1, and we have a dog. etc., so it was very important for to get this completed on time. The job included both black vinyl chain link and black aluminum fencing. After three weeks I followed up and was told it would be finished within a couple of days. For the next few days they did not show and did not call, and did not return my calls or emails Finally near the end of May they showed installed the chain link fence and left. The rest of the property where the aluminum fencing was to be installed was not done. After some angry calls from me tey admitted they did not have the aluminum on hand I was led to believe they had, and came out and installed temporary chain link where the aluminum was to be installed. Since my property was enclosed I was patient, so 3 weeks I called and inquired as to the status to complete the job. Once again, I was told that "tomorrow or the next day" I would be finished. Again, no show - no call for several days. I sent a text to the owner a few days later. He answered not with "I apologize" or anything else other than an audio file that was sent to me. It was a trucker in Atlanta saying he was stuck in traffic. Finally got the aluminum fence installed 3 1/2 months later however they cut through my irrigation line and said nothing. Discovered this a couple months later after I went to test the system."

"It took several phone calls from me. "Skylar" said usually they take the measurements one day and install the next-- Well, it wasn't that easy! After I set up an appointment for measurements, they didn't show up to get the measurements, and didn't know who I was or have any record of my call. I should have just hung up there. Finally, once they had measurements, and several days since I had heard from them, I called in.... Only to find out they would make an appointment once they happened to be in the area. So for a simple thing that was to be installed the next day-- It's been nine days of back and forth. I complained today, so maybe the glass will get installed tomorrow. But I just wonder-- with their attitude, do they want clients?"

"After 20+ years as a homeowner, I have finally found an excellent company to do all of the general contracting work I need for my home in Gulf Breeze proper....OMEGA CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN. They can do everything you need from the ground up. The company is headed up by Drew Dennis, President, and Brandon Cummins, Project Manager, and supported by their highly skilled team. These guys are fantastic! It is rare to find high quality work designed beautifully and at a reasonable price. They treat your home as if it were their own. They even put 2 or 3 layers of plastic over my floors and furniture to prevent any harm to my personal things. Omega has done many projects for me including remodeling the house I bought last year as well as building a custom made storage building in the back yard. I also had them rebuild my detached garage that was destroyed by termite and wind damage. Additional work included textured and stained concrete by the pool, painting the house and window tinting. I still plan for them to do my roof replacement and repair some electrical and plumbing issues in the future. They are actively involved in the community and support the schools and sports teams in our area. The word Omega literally means "great" and is also used to indicate the last or the end. This holds true for Omega Construction & Design as they are "great" and this is the end of my search for a general contractor who meets and even exceeds my high standards!! <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Attapulgus, GA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
