We don’t have a fireplace but were told that it’s important to clean the exhaust flue since we have gas heat. Downeast chimney explained that we have a direct vent gas furnace and since it doesn’t use the chimney, we don’t need to do anything. Did not try to sell us things we don’t need. "I had my AC serviced in the fall and did not use it until spring, when I went to run it in the spring it did not work, they came out and told me it was a couple of hundred dollars for a recharge, since it worked before they serviced it I was concerned that I should not use them, they charged 150.00 for 5 min to come out and tell me it needed a charge when it worked when they serviced it, I paid them but should not have, I would strongly suggest you do not use them for any AC work, there general plumbing work was OK I guess."

This job was to replace a stucco and half timber exterior wall on a historic 1920's English Tudor, so that it matched the detailing and craftsmanship to the rest of the house. Jason assembled a highly skilled team. They competed the job on schedule, Jason communicated regularly about status and next steps, and I couldn't be happier with the result (looks original to the house). Jason's fees are very reasonable, and I would recommend him for any job involving masonry, having worked with him in the past on brickwork as well."

"Berry Mechanical installed a $10K HVAC system a little over 4 years ago. They are one of only 3 American Standard dealers listed in my area on the American Standard site. All are roughly the same distance -Berry is actually second closest. They are now telling me they will no longer service it because it is too far away. I can understand if they were no longer wiling to do service calls on systems they did not install because of distance but they were more than happy to take the money for the large installation and it was fairly recent. I was paying them every year for semi-annual service and now I have to scramble to find an American standard dealer who actually will travel the same or more distance and will provide service for a system they did not install and may or may no be familiar with. Very disappointing, I can not recommend buying a system from a company that will not service what they install, especially when they are no further away than the only other 2 dealers."
