"The sales person was wonderful. However the sunroom leaked 30 days after completion and they will not fix the roof. Even with photos and videos of the roof leaking they are stating the brick is leaking. Very disappointing since the experience up to this was great and I over paid thinking I would get better customer service."

"With every job they've done in my home, they have impressed me with the punctuality, work ethic, and professionalism of every crew member. They arrived on time. They were respectful. They cleaned up at the end of every day. They involved me at every step (e.g., Is this grab bar at the right height? Do you prefer narrower grout lines for this wall tile?). Unlike so many horror stories in which contractors simply vanish after doing only half the work, the Carver team shows up every day until the job is finished. The materials have all been high quality and beautiful. Their work has always been worth every penny. I have recommended Carver to multiple people, and would absolutely work with them again."

"The crew did a great job and each time there was a small obstacle from our orginal house building 25 years ago, this team handled it and worked through the best option. They communicated regularly and let us know which subcontractor would be out on which day from electric, plumbing, cabinetry, flooring, etc. It went very well, their workmanship, and attention to detail as well as keeping the workspace clean at the end of the day."

"We needed to connect our patio to our deck stairs and lower concrete patio. We also had a steep slope we needed a stair-type solution to. Jake came out and went over the details with us. We decided to replace the current square concrete block patio under the pergola with a round paver patio that connected everything. Jake also recommended a large natural stone block stair to deal with the slope. After getting the estimate we were pleased and went ahead and paid the half up-front to get it on the books. They were able to start only a couple months later and spent a good week working on the project. The old patio was torn down and the blocks carefully stacked. Yard damage was minimized and a very nice patio and path was built. The initial stairs connecting to the concrete patio wasn't exactly what we wanted, and Jake had it rebuilt with no complaints and no additional cost. We are extremely pleased with how everything turned-out, and would definitely recommend them."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Aurora, IN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
