Each slab has its own pattern, whether variegated or more uniform, and each is truly unique. Streaked granite can be used to impart a sense of movement to a room. Granite can be dramatic and get much attention in a kitchen or bathroom. Different types of granite may need to be sealed every few years to retain its stain resistance.\nQuartz:\nThese stones are typically 93% quartzite and 7% resin-epoxy. Because it is an engineered stone, it has a low porosity and therefore some anti microbial properties. Quartz comes in a wider variety of colors than granite and has patterns that are fairly consistent, so matching stones is never a problem. Because of its consistency, it will not detract as much attention from other "bling" elements in your kitchen.\nMarble:\nMarble is a softer stone and its natural inclusions can lend an ambience to its room. Marble is expressive, but not to the degree of some granites or quartzes. Pete helped us pick out the cabinets, countertop, fixtures, flooring, and tile, and he made sure everything stayed within budget. He was accommodating to all our requests and concerns. Pete and his team arrived promptly every day of reno work, cleaned up all debris, and protected my house's furniture and new appliances from damage. Most importantly, he was always accessible, answering EVERY email, phone call, and text almost immediately. Renovation projects are stressful enough (we knocked down a wall into the dining room, resized a window and completed it with matching exterior vinyl siding and capping, replaced the floor and subfloor in 2 rooms, cut new trim, repaired drywall, changed the color and decor, added new plumbing, electricity and lights, and increased 7 feet of cabinet/countertop/backsplash space to 18 feet!), but Pete and the crew did their best to alleviate all our stress. "The short of it is that everything went perfectly, I have zero complaints and was left with just absolutely beautiful results. They were very fast to return my inquiry for assistance and were out to inspect the job, gave me answers and good suggestions for everything and then gave me a quote as fast as humanly possible. It turned out were able to start work pretty fast which worked out well and when they showed up they were prompt and got to work right away. Actually went above and beyond to help with another unrelated problem on my end that could've caused issues and helped get things on track for the best results. They finished when they said they would and left it probably cleaner than it was when they started along with a great installation. Highly Recommended."
