"I had to talk with them several times to get the job done right. I wouldn’t hire them again. The price was good. In the end it seems like they did a good job but it just took a lot of haggling to get them to do a complete job. It took some haggling to get them to come back and they did the job twice over. It took a few weeks to get completed. To improve, they should listen to the customer, do the job they agree on with the customer. When they finally got it done, it seemed to be good."

"Chris came out initially to take a look at the back yard and to discuss the project. I had asked him to put together a design based on some initial ideas and requirements of our own. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about installing patios. We discussed some issues with needing to improve water run off from the back of the house. We were in contact numerous times before start day to refine the design and choose pavers and lighting. Chris was always very responsive to my emails and calls and always pleasant to talk with. On start day, he showed up with his crew and a slew of machinery to excavate and prepare the base for the patio. He worked with me to mark off the perimeter and shape of the patio. When the size of the patio ended up bigger than what I had initially sent as measurements (my error), he didn’t complain- he just said he would order the additional pavers and we’d adjust the final invoice. I had asked him to try and not rip up the surrounding lawn too much and so they laid plywood and made sure that the skidsteers and other trucks stayed on that one small area. This was a real sign of their professionalism to me. I was amazed how the patio took shape in just 1 week. The crew worked through blistering heat and never complained. At the end of week 1, the patio was installed minus the final 4 cap lights since we had to wait for the lights to arrive. I make a partial payment to Chris for the work completed and then 1 week later, he came out and finished the lighting and worked through the electrical hook-ups to the house with our electrician on that day. We used pavers from a vendor who Chris uses and I was pleased with the look of what we chose. The pavers were installed well and Chris used polymeric sand to hold them in place. The job site was cleaned up every night and they moved excavated soil and aggregate base and we never had a “mess” at the house. Part of the project involved them ripping out a concrete landing outside of our adjacent garage access door and I never saw the broken concrete because they just hauled it away. Overall the patio looks incredible and I wouldn’t have asked for a better experience with an installer than what we got with Chris and his crew. I felt that the pricing of the project was very fair and that Chris and his guys were dedicated to finishing the patio as quickly as possible."

"It went very well. The original consult with Jack was very helpful. He provided us with a clear walk through of the product and what we could expect as well as an estimate of service. There was an extensive variety of colors and patterns that allowed us to really find the right options that would complement our plants, mulch and exterior of our home. On the day the concrete was laid, the founder himself was present and helped lay out a a design that really complemented the aesthetic that we had strived for (very flowing and natural) and helped pick out beautiful natural tones for the color of the concrete. The completed design and product is absolutely beautiful and we're very happy to know that this product will last for several years. "O'Malley Concrete installed a new concrete driveway, sidewalk, front steps and front patio to our Eden Prairie home in June 2020. Kelly was much more competitive in terms of pricing than the others we had out for a quote. Unlike his competitors who install a 4" pour, Kelly's standard process is a 6" pour. He gave his opinion on what would look best, but didn't push any additional services beyond what we were looking for. We were so impressed that we decided to add a front patio to the project. Kelly goes above and beyond in his work. He removed and hauled away rocks along both sides of the driveway and widened the driveway. He also removed and hauled away a basketball hoop at no extra cost. He added dirt and grass seed on both sides of the driveway. Kelly is absolutely meticulous in his work, and his entire crew was professional and friendly. "They widened the driveway area by about 6 inches and filled in the space between the asphalt and the new retaining wall with gravel -- a functional and visually attractive solution.  Also, a number of plants we wanted to save adjacent to the top of the retaining wall were dug up and replanted by the Yards of Creativity team during the course of the project. <br /> When doing the work, they were careful to avoid disturbing an existing wood stockade privacy fence located very close to the retaining wall. <br /> The cost estimate was in line with one other one we had obtained, and substantially lower than another one.  We selected Yards of Creativity because of the punctuality and professionalism of the owner, who was very attentive to our needs.  She was on hand for all of the work that was performed, and worked as hard as the rest of her work team.  The constuction site was cleaned up of all debris.  <br /> We did have one issue with the concrete work next to the garage, but that was fixed quickly (within a few days) with no hassle.  The final price was exactly what was quoted originally. <br /> We were quite pleased with the work performed and the end-result is a huge improvement.  The VersiBlock "system" appears to be holding up beautifully this winter, and we understand that it is used by the City of Minneapolis on their retaining wall projects, so we expect that our wall will be functional for decades. <br /> Also, we were able to install a small wought iron railing right into the steps into the back yard -- another good outcome of the project. <br /> <br />"
