"We wanted our fence installed on our new house while we were on vacation since we would be moving in once we returned.  Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it poured while we were gone so Kevin had a late start.  The only issue that we had was that once we returned, the date that Kevin gave us for completion was not what was accomplished.  We told Kevin that all he had to do was call us to let us know that it would take a little longer and we would fully understand.  He understood where we were coming from and we had no problems after that.  The fence that we had installed has 6x6 posts and 2x4 railings.  It was a big project and he did an awesome job.  We had to call him last week since the front gate lock was not operating properly and he came right out and fixed it.  We are very happy with the job that Kevin did.

"This is the second time using D&D Fence. 1st time, they installed a new cedar privacy fence for me and did a fantastic job! I moved and the last two storms we had blew down our fence, breaking multiple posts. Because of their previous work, I did not hesitate calling Adrian and D&D Fence. "Gardner's workers were excellent to work with. They communicated with us throughout the process, were very well priced, and kept us informed of what was going on at all times. They were very informative when asked how they were installing posts and why they used their preferred method (to improve drainage of the bottom of the posts, reduce rot and extend fence lifetime). They were very flexible, accepting requested changes to the shape and length of the fence on the day of installation, and even came back that afternoon when we asked for a modification to the bottom of the gate to ensure our dog didn't go under. "Jose and his team were excellent!  He came highly recommended and he didn't disappoint.  We needed the renovation to start as soon as possible so we could meet the schedule of moving out of our old house.  Jose called and was able to start a week earlier than we had scheduled, which was extremely helpful.
He started on a Monday and got right to work. When I stopped by the house I was amazed at the amount of work he and his team had accomplished in just one day.  Jose posted a list on the wall of work to be accomplished and kept it updated with notes and progress, so we
always knew exactly where he was schedule-wise and knew what expect and when materials would arrive.  Jose also took the time every day to talk to us and explain the progress and what to expect in the coming days.  He always answered all of our questions and made sure we were completely satisfied before he left for the day.
Progress flowed continually and logically throughout the following weeks of construction.  There was substantial progress every day and each member of Jose's team was very polite, neat and personable.  You could tell Jose and each member of his team really took pride in their work and they treated our house as if it were their house. Countless times, Jose told us that his #1 priority was to make sure we were happy and completely satisfied with the work being done.  He knew it wasn't just a job and a paycheck, but an investment in our home and in our
future. You could tell he really took that seriously and it was very much appreciated.
Jose made sure that we were involved every step of the way.  He would often meet us as at a local hardware store to pick out finishes and products that we wanted installed.  When we told him we wanted a particular vanity for the bathroom, he searched all over the city and finally found one in a town 30 miles away!  It was incredible; he literally went out of his way to make sure we were completely satisfied.
We bought our house with an FHA 203(k) loan to finance the renovation.  FHA inspects the house before any work is done, reviews the contractor's estimate of work to be done, and signs off on whether or not the work will be adequate to bring the house up to FHA standards. Once the work was complete, we still had to pass an FHA inspection to make sure everything was adequate.  We were very confident in Jose's work and extremely happy with what he had done, but we were still slightly nervous for the FHA inspection because you know what to expect in an inspection like that.
The inspector came through and was BLOWN AWAY with the transformation of the house!  He was extremely impressed with the quality of work and the care and craftsmanship that went into it.  It was literally like a different house.  The purchase price was about $168K and we got a loan for about $200K to pay for the renovation.  After the inspection, the inspector said the house was absolutely incredible and estimated it would sell for about $250K!  Thanks to Jose's hard work, we basically had about $50K instant equity.
All of our new neighbors have stopped by just RAVING about the work that was done.  Our house went from the ugliest, worst on the block to absolutely the nicest and the best.  Our Realtor who sold us the house was equally blown away when he saw the finished product.  Every single person who sees the before and after are just incredulous.  I cannot give Jose props enough.
He is a very busy contractor, so it may take some time to get on his schedule, but don't get frustrated or upset.  He is busy because he is genuinely nice, honest and really takes pride in his work.  We have recommended him to two friends now and they are equally happy with his work - they thank us for referring him to them.  Any work we may need done in the future will be done by Jose and his team.  We won't ever call another contractor because their work is of the highest quality and they are very competent in virtually all areas.  If they need to bring in a subcontractor, they are very discerning.  We are equally happy with the subcontractors that Jose occasionally used.
Thanks Jose!  You've turned a house desperately in need of much TLC into a home that we look forward to living in and raising our family for decades to come!

"I called and left a message for a quote on having our fence restained.  Someone came out the same or next day and left a quote in our mailbox.  A few days later I called to schedule the work to be done.  I was told they were backed up and it would be a week or so before they could come out to power wash the fence.  In the meantime, someone came out to pick up the 50% deposit.  Less than a week later, my doorbell rang early in the morning and I was surprised to find someone from Armadillo on my doorstep ready to power wash my fence.  I was rather upset because I did not receive a phone call to know they were sending someone out, so I had not cleared everything away from our fence or cut down some of the overgrowth that was coming through from the neighbor's yard.  Since I'm pregnant, I wasn't happy about having to get out in the heat and take care of the situation last minute like that; however, I got out the weed eater and took care of the side of the house while the guy started power washing the other side.  Sometime after I had finished, the head guy who had taken my payment and had talked to me on the phone several times (I can't remember his name at the moment) showed up to make sure everything was going ok.  He assured me that they would in fact call me before coming back out to restain the fence and that it would be a week away because they were behind due to some storms that had come through the week before.  Well, it wasn't more than a day or two later that I came home from running errands and found two guys at my house almost finished staining my fence - again without any warning.  I was thankful to have the work done so quickly, but quite frankly p***** that they showed up again without calling and especially after I had just been assured a day or two before that they would call first.  Here they were without giving a heads up and way before the estimated time I was told they would probably be coming out.  Thankfully, nothing was sitting out that caught the overspray.  I was sure to triple check everything around my yard since I again did not have the chance to prepare before they came out.  Overall, I was happy with the work that was done and would probably use them again; however, I would appreciate being told when to expect someone, especially after I ask for a heads up and am told I will get one."
