"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"Responded to my request over the weekend, didn’t badger my phone with calls (whole point of using an app is to … use the app, or at least communicate via text, which they did). Actually sent someone on the agreed upon day (today), let me know they were coming today, and answered me when I asked when to expect them. Did the job quickly (in fairness it was a 10 minute job). Wore a mask. Was professional."

"I had Harland Electric come out and check out my electrical panel due to an issue where the electric dryer kept tripping the circuit breaker. (There was water near the breaker that I observed when it did this.) I had a few other minor things I wanted to have them check at the same time. The guys (Kevin and Derek) were great and knowledgeable and recommended I replace the panel due to the corrosion. I got an e-mail from Bill Harland who gave me information on what my options were and some estimates. I asked a bunch of questions and Bill was a great help in making a final decision. I felt he was honest about his recommendation as I debated doing a more expensive upgrade and Bill felt for my situation it would be overkill. I opted for a full replacement 100amp with the feed from the outside. (My house is very small and 100 amps has always been more than sufficient) Kevin and Mike showed up on time for the appointment and did an awesome job on the replacement. The work was high quality, neat and professional. The guys were also great around the young children (2 and 5), they very friendly and even my wife was comfortable (and that's impressive). They cleaned up completely and even took care of a couple of additional things that I had hoped (but didn't expect) they'd be able to get to. There were no surprises with the bill and within the estimate (even with the extra stuff). Judy in the office was also very nice and great with setting up schedules and dealing with the deposit. I will definitely use Harland again if I need electrical work done."

They completed tidy and well-labeled work on a tight deadline, exactly as planned, on one of the hottest days of the year. "We just moved to our new house not long ago and we found our electrical stuff are a mess. One room did not have ceiling lights; another one have 2 dead outlets. And there was no labels in the panel to tell us which break controls which part of the house. Laku responded to my Angie's List request very quickly and gave us a free estimate at the same day with pretty reasonable price and told us he can start work as earlier as this Saturday! On Saturday, he was arrived on time and worked our electronically issues very professionally. They added a new wire for the dead outlet and the no light room. And then he check our panel and pointed our our panel wiring issue and rewired safely them with small fee. And then he and his co-worker were going up and down server times to test all our breakers and labeled them nicely. Since our ceiling fan was not coming on time, he had to visit our house on the next following Wednesday to finish work. And it was another nice experience with him. They came on time again, knew exactly what they needed to do and installed my fan and upgraded all my 2 prong outlets to 3 prongs within 2 hours. And they cleanup house. When they left, we have a nice tidy house with all lights, ceiling fan and outlets working! I highly recommend Laku. And we will definitely call him if we have any other electrical issues."

"Chris handled a wiring job for a new screened porch and deck addition. It ended up being fairly complex due to high-wattage radiant heaters and a specialized control panel to allow them to be dimmed. Chris did a great job mounting and wiring everything, was very timely, and responsive. Since I was remote, he texted me photos so that I could appove of location of installations when questions arose. Will use again!"
