"After talking to several other companies, Chad came out to give an estimate. We connected well, and I felt comfortable letting him put his ideas into place to turn our yard around. I'm so glad that we did! <br />"

"We were thrilled with the work done by NeSmith Landscapes installing pavers on the deck around our pool. They transformed the ugly, cracked cement into a beautiful paved deck. All of the work was done on time and Jerry NeSmith was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. We could not be happier with the work they did and how beautiful our pool deck looks now. We highly recommend them and would use them again for other landscaping needs."

"My irrigation system was originally installed in 1991.  I started having trouble about 3 years ago.  Year 2009:  One zone would not work.  Company 1 fixed the zone and a few heads- that summer was fine.  2010: The next summer the zone again did not work - called Company 1 - would not return my calls.  I lugged hoses all that summer just to keep plants alive.  2011: I again called Company 1, asked why they did not return my calls - he said he returns all calls - but never came over.   I called Company 2 (neighbor recommendation) and was put on their list.  Told as soon as they were in my area - they would check my system.  Middle of summer, a business card was left on my door.  I called Company 2 - was told sorry you were not home, but you are on the list and when we are in you area again we will check your system.  Company 2 called me in late August (after the summer of me lugging hoses all over the place) to come over - said no - too late in season - afraid if fixed would not work next year - asked to be put on the top of the list and come in 2012  March.  2012: I received a letter in the mail to sign up for a maintenance agreement - I called Company 2 - he said I did not need an agreement for his services and I am BACK ON HIS LIST.  I said no thank you, I would try another company.  Company 3 actually came out an gave me an estimate.  He said he would call and let me know - WELL - you know the rest of that story  - I called him a couple of times and then told him thanks, but I'll try another company.  God surely was helping me on this one.  Mr. Brett Sloan (Company 4) answered his phone - said he would come out - DID show up and said he could not give me an estimate - which is understandable - hidden problems do pop up, but he said he would stay in my budget.  Brett and his adorable son replaced all my old valves; repaired broken lines; put in new gear drive heads.  He guided me as to exactly what I needed and what I did not need.  He totally treats your job as if he is working on his own home.  It is such a treat to find an honest, hard working, contractor.  I wish so much he had put in my system at the beginning.  His prices are fair because he uses quality products - he does not put in low quality products to add to his profits.  Thank you Brett and son for helping me out - NO MORE LUGGING HOSES just to keep my plants alive - now my grass will be green again.Overall - he returns your call - he shows up when he says he will - he explains in detail what you need and what he will do to solve your problem.  Trust me - have him install your system.  He normally has his assistant do repairs, but he saw how much my system needed his expertise and did the work himself.  And that my friends, to quote the late great Paul Harvey, is the rest of the story."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Baconton, GA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
