"I only needed about 16ft. of a privacy fence installed. I had a hanful of companies tell me the job is to small. Bob from Capitol Fence contacted me within a half hour. He came out that day. Sent me an estimate. 6 days later its up. And the weather was not ideal for an install. I recommend Capitol Fence !!"

"He does beautiful work. He really is an artist with his welding skills. He has an excellent eye and works well with customers to make sure they are satisfied. He did a railing for us and and I also wanted a free floating vanity and he built the strong metal system that allow me to have it float with quartz on top. I highly recommend him!"

"It looks great. It's not a 'normal' fence. I found something I wanted on Pinterest, and Skip and his crew did it exactly how I wanted. It took longer than he thought it would, partially because of the weather and partially because the wire mesh was hard to find. They had to drive around Columbus, Newark, and Zanesville to find something that would work. He even bought something that he decided was too flimsy, installed one piece and decided it wasn't good enough quality. AND, he passed on the $125 price difference to us. Good guy doing good work!"

"Steve came out to describe his process from design to installation of railings.  Came up with various designs -- all good it was difficult to select.  He then met us at the Franklin Glass to select the glass to be integrated into the wrought iron.  Railings installed and one of the glass inserts did not seem quite right.  He personally came out to inspect the concern and took care of the issue immediately.  We really love the originality of his design and enjoyed working with Steve!

"I previously met with John Pickens last year for a quote on a different style and height of fence. John was very informative and helpful if helping me decide on the type of fencing. At the time we were getting quotes from several different fencing companies and Pickens really stood out above the others. Called them back this year for another quote with type and height changes - per john's previous suggestions - and signed a contract to start project approx July week 1. Will update once work is complete.

*****10/25/14 UPDATE*******
Started calling a few weeks before work was scheduled to begin in July week 1. Left several messages but never received call backs. Finally tracked down another contact number - John's cell phone - and got ahold of john. He told me they were running behind and pushed the start date back another two weeks. Work finally started 7/22/14 & was completed 7/25/14. Initially I was happy with the quality and can understand the delays but I'm less than satisfied with the quality of the wood used. Within a week several boards and posts split, further inspection showed many imperfections and less than quality pieces of wood were used. One gate also started sagging with two weeks. Fence has a one year warranty and plan to have them make good on that warranty. Will update again when that time comes.

*****8/20/15 UPDATE*******
Warranty work was completed to our satisfaction, but this was not without additional messages left with no call backs and an overall lack of communication. We are pleased with the overall results and outcome but it was somewhat of a process to get to that point. With that said, they do not use subcontractors and the owners son, Ryan, takes pride in his work and was always more than accommodating."

"Moyer & Sons was just excellent. They're a family operation and they are just wonderful. It's a father and son and it's very thorough work. They are very conscientious, clean, and punctual. They are hard workers. I was going to use them for some other project but I ran out of time and money. It was a beautiful job. Mr. Moyer has been doing this for over 30 years and he's just something at what he does."

"This bathroom remodel was a dream come true!  Brad was prompt, courteous, and such a diligent worker.  The entire project took a little over 3 weeks, and Brad kept us well-informed of each step of the process.  It was extremely helpful that Brad has so many contacts - he was able to get us the best price on granite, marble, glass, and Amish hand-crafted cabinets.  We would highly recommend Brad, he is truly a gifted craftsman."

"It was very important to repair the fence to its previous strength as we have dogs and were concerned about any of them getting out. Jeff was the lowest bid on the job and was the most professional from the first time we met him. He took care not to damage any existing flowers and shrubs that we planted at the side that was most heavily damaged. He did a great job and I couldn't ask more concerning the quality of his work. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a new fence or repair."

FAQs for wrought iron fence installation projects in Baltimore, OH

Galvanizing is the best way to keep rain from eating away at your wrought iron fence. The process coats each bar in a thin layer of zinc, sealing out moisture and blocking rust. Most panels come pre-galvanized, but you’ll still want to wash and repaint every few years to keep that shield intact.

Skipping galvanization may save a few dollars up front, yet you’ll spend far more later repairing corrosion or replacing sections outright.

Expect to pay more for wrought iron than for wood at the outset, but iron wins the long game. A standard wood fence runs $1,700 to $3,900, yet you’ll sand, stain, and eventually replace it. Wrought iron may double that initial tab, but it can last 50 to 100 years with a quick paint job every few seasons. Factor in fewer repairs and less upkeep, and iron often edges out wood on lifetime cost.

Hiring a pro to paint wrought iron runs $8 to $10 per linear foot, a price that covers careful prep, rust removal, and high-grade paint for long-term protection. DIY-ers can trim that labor bill, but you’ll need quality brushes, rust-inhibiting primer, and time to apply multiple thin coats. Skimp on prep or materials, and the finish will peel sooner, forcing you back to square one.

A well-maintained wrought iron fence easily lasts 50 to 100 years. Plan to wash it annually and sand-and-repaint every two to three years to keep rust from gaining a foothold. If you spot flakes or pitting early, touch-up paint stops corrosion in its tracks. When in doubt, a local fence pro can walk you through a maintenance schedule tailored to your climate.

Homeowners choose wrought iron fencing because it delivers exceptional security and a timeless aesthetic. This fence offers robust protection that deters intruders while providing a classic look that elevates property curb appeal.

Its construction from high-grade materials ensures lasting durability and reduces maintenance needs. The design also enhances home value and offers consistent strength and elegance.

Wrought iron fencing is available exclusively through certified local fence installation companies and reputable specialized suppliers. This source guarantees high-quality materials and professional installation that adhere to strict performance standards.

Homeowners will find that these trusted providers deliver materials backed by quality control and expert support, ensuring an investment that meets both durability and aesthetic expectations.
