"I've worked with Troy and Mark on two jobs. The first was a smaller job to install railings on my front porch. I could tell right away their workmanship was excellent, and I was impressed with how Troy worked through unexpected obstacles that came up during the process. I was thrilled with the railings - they tied into the existing porch perfectly and looked like they'd always been there! I then hired Troy for a much larger job, involving converting a small bedroom into a bathroom, and converting an existing small bath into a laundry room. Once again, Troy and Mark were great throughout the process. This job took the room all the way down to the studs, and my house is quite old, so a lot of carpentry needed to be done to get the new room to be level and square. They clearly know their craft and are complete professionals! They managed the demolition, framing, installed insulation, drywall, flooring, and doors, and they also coordinated with all the sub-contractors. The site was cleaned up and left safe after each day, which I appreciated especially as the job got messy. Again, Troy worked through the inevitable unexpected hurdles and always came up with good solutions. Troy was also flexible in working with me, as I wanted to do most of the finish work myself, and we kept in close communication throughout the 6 weeks of work. The job came in on-time and on-budget, and I absolutely love my new spaces! It's great to have confidence and security knowing that everything is so well-built. On a personal note, I also really appreciated that, as a woman living alone, I never felt uncomfortable with Troy and Mark (and their sub-contractors) in my home, and could always trust them to be respectful of me and my space. "When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"The only regret I have about hiring Travis Graham/Graham Restoration was that I didn't find him sooner!  I needed a variety of jobs done to get our house ready for the market, and Travis was able to take care of ALL of them, quickly and professionally.  He painted the exterior and replaced rotted and dog-chewed wood trim, replaced pickets, replaced damaged siding, replaced boards on our deck, did some gutter repair (actually repaired some guttering that I thought would have to be replaced, thus saving me considerable expense) and did a small plumbing job.  Travis was very responsive to my initial call and follow-up emails.  I needed the work done in a hurry and it was also during that period where it rained for three weeks putting the schedule into turmoil since much of the work was outside.  Travis communicated about what he could/couldn't do because of the weather and looked for openings in the weather to get the jobs done.  For my jobs, he charged an hourly rate plus materials (and I had almost all material on-site) and he does not waste time.  He doesn't hurry but he works quickly and methodically and stages the jobs to get the most done in the least time.  In short, I'm sure I'll have another punchlist once we have a buyer for our house and subsequent home inspection, and I will absolutely call Travis to take care of it."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Kdk did a great job renovating our half bath into a full handicap bathroom. They installed a handicap toliet and shower, tile, flooring, lights. It has been great for my father in law who had a very hard time getting up and down the stairs to take a shower. He was very professional, outgoing, and finished in a timely manner. It was a lot of work but they did excellent work. I am very satisfied with the work and I am looking forward to working with them for future renovations.

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. The windows have definitely helped to eliminate draftiness in our home and helped to maintain a consistent temperature."
