"The final product is good and the price was good. The structure all seems to be high quality and with double pane windows it can hold the climate or out well as needed. With screens all around we can let the air move through when we want. The design process was a good experience, but we were not warned that our decisions in dimensions would result in difficulties with regulations and the electrical work. The lack of communication between sub-contractors during the process resulted in several delays. There were times when we were told there would be hand-off and it didn't happen until we prodded them. We kicked it off in the early spring and it didn't complete until August. Early on, the delays were unavoidable due to weather and ground conditions but after the foundation was in it took to long to complete the structure. The problem is not specifically the total time to complete but being left with very little time to replace the yard and driveway before winter."

TDS Custom Construction specializes in custom remodeling and design in the greater Madison area. We are recognized for our strong emphasis on energy efficient and sustainable designs, and a commonsense approach to home performance and green building techniques. TDS is a full-service design-build contractor that employees 15 community members and has been in business since 1985.
"TDS provided excellent quality and service from start to finish. They removed the old brick chimney that was between the kitchen and dining room, and they did such an excellent job containing the demo debris that I didn’t even have to dust after! They also protected our existing flooring very well. You also can’t even see the patching on the ceiling. And at the end of the job, the PM let us know of a couple other issues he spotted in the attic (replacing vents) but didn’t pressure us in any way to sign them on for another project. I highly recommend them!"

Located out of Oregon, WI. I have 10 years of experience in Home Staging and have helped owners in every price range up to $1M properties. I own my inventory so we won't have to rent or sign contracts with furniture rental companies located in Milwaukee - which saves my clients hundreds of dollars. As of the time of this writing the average days on the market for the properties which I have staged is 18 days.

A small kitchen renovation requires an average of six to nine weeks from start to finish. This timeframe accounts for all phases, including demolition, installation, and finishing touches.
Projects with complex layouts or custom elements may extend beyond this timeframe, especially if you're handling portions yourself rather than hiring professionals. Material availability and contractor scheduling also influence your project duration.
The most efficient approach begins with thorough planning and securing necessary permits. Once preparations are complete, proceed with demolition, followed by rough-in work for plumbing and electrical systems. Next comes drywall installation and painting, then cabinets and countertops. Flooring installation follows, with backsplash and fixture placement completing the major components. This sequence minimizes the risk of damaging newly installed elements.
Replacing outdated appliances during your renovation often proves worthwhile, particularly for units over 10 years old. Newer models offer improved energy efficiency along with enhanced features and reliability.
Modern appliances also contribute significantly to your kitchen's overall aesthetic appeal and can become a selling point if you later decide to list your home. Consider models with energy-saving certifications that may qualify for utility rebates.
Several financing approaches exist for kitchen renovations. Options include personal savings, home equity loans or lines of credit, personal loans, or credit cards for smaller projects. The best choice depends on your financial situation, available equity, credit standing, and project timeline. Comparing interest rates and repayment terms across different financing methods helps identify the most cost-effective solution for your specific circumstances.
