"So glad that we called Wholesale Carpets first! They were extremely professional. Bill was helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. The installers were pleasant and finished everything in a few hours. The carpet looks amazing!"

"Everything went very well. Called requesting a short-notice appointment and got it, and the owner also provided the Angie's List discount. The technician arrived on time and proceeded to work right away. The carpet was left pretty cleaned and the long-standing stains were mostly gone with a faint trace/silhouette remaining for the darkest ones. Happy with the work done and will hire again when ready for the other areas of the house with carpeting."

"We just bought a house in Orlando. It has berber carpet in just about every room. The house has been rented for years and the carpets are filthy. Jim arrived on time, helped me move the furniture and explained the process. He was very professional; got to work and completed the job without a stop. I'm pleased with the quality and I'm sort of a perfectionist. A+ for carpet cleaning! <br /> Our lanai was filthy: built in 1992 and looks like it's never been cleaned. Manny and Gale arrived on time and did a thorough job. There was one area at the top that I thought they missed. Manny explained that mildew eats away the surface. I trust their judgement. It looks great. The screens look like new, the white frame glows and the patio area sparkles. They get an A. <br /> We plan to have both back in six months for a refresher. Also, we only did the downstair carpet, we need the upstair down. We also need the Florida room power washed. <br /> One more thing: Marie was very easy to work with. She was pleasant, professional and knowledge. She answered the phone right away and the work was performed within the week. <br /> Excellent. <br />"

"They were amazing. I called them on Monday, asked if they could come out as soon as possible because I was having a bridal shower at my house soon. They said they were booked solid but would squeeze me in. They arrived on Wednesday afternoon, father and son and worked right away getting my carpet re-attached. They even put my hallway carpet back too. These guys were so nice, friendly and professional and the fact that they squeezed me in to their busy schedule because I had an emergency was awesome! I'll definitely use them again for any carpet needs."

"<br /> <br /> <p>Outstanding! He said he would not be able to remove a wine stain from several years ago that I had covered up with furniture, but he did, and the 16 year-old berber carpet now looks like new. The den carpet was refreshed and clean as the discoloring and the stains were removed. The 3 year-old bedroom carpet was cleaned well, too. We have had this company several times previously, but stopped when we had hardwood floors installed in the main living section of the house. We are really glad we called them for this job. They had taken care of our living area rugs when we were flooded from burst pipes, and again, when the air conditioner backed up and flooded, as well as regular rug cleaning, periodically. It is great that the rugs are dry quickly, and one can walk on them almost right away. I can't say enough good about this family-owned business (in the Lakeland area)!</p> <br /> <br /> <blockquote>   <br /> <br /> <p><br /></p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mar 27, 2014 04:20:02 PM,  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p>stain came out, and the 16 year-old berber carpet looks like new.  The den carpet was refreshed as the discoloring and stains were removed.  We have had this company several times previously, but stopped when we had hardwood floors installed in the main living section of the house. "We 100% recommend using Richard. Our relatively new home had a defective tiled floor throughout the entire house due to poor installation. The tiles cracked while we in the UK during Covid and lockdown. We could not enter the USA for this reason and Richard was incredibly kind and helpful, locating new tiles for us and helping us choose. It’s a very difficult task at the best of times and we were very concerned but in our absence, the old tiles were removed and new ones put down. Richard went out of his way to help us and finish the job before we arrived. It was a huge task. The workmanship is faultless and we are so very grateful to him and his installers. He was also recommended to us by our agent who has worked with him for many years. Beautiful job done and in our opinion if you are looking for a reputable tiler who is honest and does a perfect job, look no further. Thank you Richard. We are so appreciative!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Bartow, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
