"It went great and I left Harmond and Neli a great review on the chat survey that I wish I had copied to past here as I wrote everything I felt about the Tech and the company and it was all good. I will be using the Neli services again when any of my appliances need attention / repair. Thank You Neli."

"We were hooked-up with Air Pro through our home warranty contract and they were just wonderful. They replaced our heat pump that was original to the addition from the early 1950"s and no longer had parts available. Rocco came out to measure and see the area covered by the heat pump. He seemed especially excited to point-out how nice the new ones are compared to ours...(like the remote control!) The main issue with the old one was in the motor of the outside half and at first Rocco was not too sure the warranty company would cover the interior unit, too. He assured us that he would do his best to get the most comprehensive coverage he could. Well, after his communication with them they covered BOTH parts... that could have been potentially Thousands out of pocket! We were still responsible for disposal, concrete pad, etc.expenses (thus the $485.00) but we feel this was more than reasonable! On installation day, Ed came with his crew and thoroughly checked-out the installation area as it was in a room that is 3 walls of all windows and this, unlike the old heat pump needed to be installed up high. They were able to work around any issues from the architecture of the room. He and his whole crew were very professional and polite. They took their time in the installation and then testing the cooling and heating properties for proper performance. They recognized any possible problem areas with the modified installation and paid particular attention to those when running the tests. Before they left, everything was cleaned-up and both Ed and another gentleman on the crew had reviewed the usage and features on the remote control. We bought our 1937 home 18 months ago and have needed numerous repair and service companies since then. Comparatively, this was a very nice experience and I couldn't recommend them more enthusiastically!"

"Steve was my technician and he arrived within the window of time given. He was very friendly and respectful. He didn’t mind me hanging around to see what he was doing and ask questions. He told me my furnace was old but was still working appropriately. He suggested I get it inspected yearly which I do. This was my second inspection because another company tried to use scare tactics by saying my co2 levels were really high and it was producing to much heat. He tried to sell me a new furnace. I saw how the other service man put his equipment in places that were wrong to get his readings so I got a second opinion from ARS. If you want a company that is honest and tells you the truth about your furnace call this company.@"

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

"Don's Appliance does the repairs for Hillmon Appliance - where we bought the oven. As it's out of warranty - and all the warranty people got lousy reviews here, I decided to go with Don's.

I called and they said it would be about 2 weeks for the appointment. At that time I gave them the model number of our range and asked that they please order the thermostat in advance so the repairman could just install it on the first visit. (I was sure that it was the thermostat that had broken.)

They called the weekday before our appointment to give me a 2-hour window for our appointment. Jeff did come promptly in that window and was professional and courteous. He confirmed that it was the thermostat, but said they hadn't ordered it, so we would have to wait for it to be ordered and to come in. It took an additional 2 weeks for the part to get in and then to find an open appointment.

Once again Jeff came in the 2-hour window we had been told, but the part was the wrong one. They had left off a letter of the model number when ordering it, and there is a model with that number, so the part came in but didn't fit. So, while Jeff was at the house he called and asked the office to order the correct part - and to put a rush on it as we were leaving town in a week and we wanted to leave our house-sitter with a working oven. They said that it would arrive in time, and even scheduled our appointment for the day before we were to leave town.

The day before our appointment we got the call for our appointment window, but when I answered they hung up. I called back and asked when our appointment will be for the following day. I was told that the part didn't come in and they wouldn't be able to get here to fix it until the following week. I explained that this is unacceptable and asked to speak to the head of the department. I was transferred to Terry and we had a long discussion. He said that it wasn't his fault that the part didn't come in on time and there isn't anything he can do about. I agreed that it wasn't his fault, but pointed out that it wasn't mine either- and we are going on 6 weeks+ of living without a working oven. I then asked what he was going to do for me since it was an honest mistake that they made, but it was their mistake, not mine. (And I pointed out that if they had just ordered the part when I asked them to originally, then we wouldn't have had this issue at all.) After much going back and forth, and my rejecting the 10% discount that was offered, we finally agreed to bringing the service charge down to a "2nd visit" charge, which is $99 instead of the $159 I had paid. They deducted the $60 from the charge for the part.

Jeff came two weeks later when we had returned from our trip and installed the proper thermostat quickly and professionally.

I would probably work with Don's Appliance again, but would insist that they order the part while the tech is at our house so I can confirm that it is the right one."

"Went very well. They removed the old fridge and moved another fridge from basement to the kitchen. They do not carry hand truck or tools. If you want to move large appliance and not junking them, make sure you have them available to them. Price is extremely reasonable."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Beaver Falls, PA

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
