"The provider's work was just as estimated in terms of the extent of the job. Replacing a water heater that vented into an old (about 150 years) chimney knocked loose a lot of debris - it had probably never been cleaned. The access point was bricked over. They cut into the wall with minimal mess and noise for solid brick. They were able to clean out years of debris including bird and squirrel nest material. They patched some problem areas. They ran a new vent from the cellar up to the top and installed a new cap system. They prepped the pipes for the water heater and sealed up the area. It was a pretty messy job and they cleaned the area before leaving. A few bumps in the process meant the job took longer than planned but they completed the work thoroughly and as fast as possible. The job was not inexpensive, but the amount of labor and material required for this cleaning and repair was reasonable. <br />"

"I woke up to a cold house because the blower wasn't blowing. I called Kirkwood as soon as they opened, and the repairmen were there in little over an hour. A panel had burnt out, and because of the replacement cost and the age of the furnace, I decided to get a new furnace. Once roof was ok'd, the company stayed in contact to set up the replacement date. The materials were delivered a few days before replacement, and all went as promised on replacing the roof. A project manager was on site to discuss any concerns. Plywood was placed in front of Windows to protect them during tear off. The work was completed in one day. The debris was removed completely.
