"Our Thermador dishwasher is approximately 8 years old. It stopped running through the cycles. Rey played with the buttons and said it could be the control board, but he also looked under the dishwasher and manually triggered the cycle to run. After spending several minutes looking and listening, he determined that the circulation pump had frozen up and needed to be replaced. He pointed out that once the pump was replaced, the control board should receive the right signals and work fine, but he noted that it was possible I might need a new control board as well. During the diagnostic visit, Rey located a circulation pump in Dallas, gave me the price of the pump and labor in writing, and told me that he would be back in two business days to install it if we decided to do the repair. Rey and Juan came back in two days to install the pump and determined that the control board was fine and no further repairs were needed. The dishwasher works like new again. It was a great experience, and I will definitely call Mr. Appliance in the future if I need any type of appliance repair. I really liked the fact that Rey didn't pressure us to do this expensive repair. He asked us how we liked the dishwasher, told us the approximate new cost of a similar (Bosch or Thermador) dishwasher, told us we could price new ones over the weekend, etc. We decided to go with the repair, as the dishwasher has worked great for several years, and it has a life expectancy of quite a few more. Mr. Appliance also accomodated my work schedule. I previously had a diagnostic visit from a different provider that was almost $100, took less than 5 minutes, and wouldn't be deducted from the repair cost. I made the mistake of not asking about deducting the diagnostic visit from the repair when I called the first provider, but when I called Mr. Appliance, the first person I spoke with automatically gave me that information. The other provider told me the control board was the problem, because he didn't spend any time with the dishwasher. Fortunately, I went with my instincts and called Mr. Appliance for a second opinion. I would have spent nearly $400 with the other provider, and I wouldn't have solved the problem. Mr. Appliance services all models, and if you have a dishwasher such as Thermador or Bosch, I recommend that you call them first."

"To be clear on what I am being asked to rate .... Choice is asking me to rate the repair service man that showed up to repair - NOT their warranty service itself. These are two different things. I rate the repair man - high. The warranty company itself - ONE STAR. See they advertise this great warrantee .... but when you go to use it ..... in all the fine print .... they write themselves out of responsibility to take care of your problem so BE CAUTIOUS when choosing to purchase this warranty. I have had this warranty for two years ... never needed it. Then my microwave goes on the blink. Took three weeks to get a repair man to my house and a resolution which ended in basically a non- resolution. They opted to replace vs. repair .... somehow figured my microwave was 10 years old - which is a joke and in the wind gave me $191 to replace it - and this is after I paid the $65 service fee. This is for replacement and installation. See in item #9 of the contract it states they ARE responsible for ALL components (excepts handles, door glass, etc). BUT ... then in #16 it states they do not have to repair ... they can opt to offer replacement costs (THEIR supposed costs - which is NOT retail) so for my $319 microwave +$110 installation it is costing me to replace - They OPTED to give me $$191 minus my $65 service fee ..... which ends up being $123. This is a bunch of ********. They know it and I know it. SO .... if this is how they do on a microwave .... I can ONLY imaging what they will do on something big. So ..... I have zero confidence in this company at this point and as soon as this claim settles out - I receive my whopping $191 ... I plan to cancel this warranty and go with another home warranty company. Maybe they will appreciate my business because this one sure did not. They proved that on this small claim. I do t trust them to risk it if there happened to be a larger claim. Horrible is all I can say."

"It's insurance for all appliances and also they came her for my stove. I pay them month to month.  I'm happy with them. Price is good. We don't pay, I fix it and they, everything is paid for. I don't have to pay anything. If my refrigerator goes bye bye they will replace it for free. They are very professional. We have had them for year. They also came here for my stove because something when wrong with the door, the oven door. I have a commercial oven and he door just won't shut so something when wrong with it, and they fixed it. I pay them month to month. I'm happy with them. Price is good. We don't pay, I fix it and they, everything is paid for. I don't have to pay anything. I don't have to pay anything. If my refrigerator goes bye bye, they will replace it for free. They are very professional. We have had them for years. We used them at our other house also. I think it was the air conditioner that went out. They replaced it, the whole thing. They were recommended to us by somebody who's been with them for years. And, like thank god because a year later the damn air conditioner went out. So we were able to use it."
