The tile work was beautiful and well done. The rebuild took a day less than we had planned. He even helped connect us with an electrician and repaired the cuts in the drywall done by the electrician. He and his team were amazingly nice. James went above and beyond. Will hire again for future jobs!"

"Steve arrived on time from Pennsylvania, even though the weather was very foggy that day. He analyzed the work to be done and I said the closest store for parts was Home Depot. I explained that Lowes installed the door in 2004. I took a picture and went to them first for repairs but they said they don't repair doors. However, they recommended Angie's List for a handy man and to use treated wood or PVC material for door framing. Steve returned with a door frame kit. He said the material was wood but seemed unsure if it was treated. He repaired the frame which took 4 and 1/4 hours and he allowed me to use a $25 coupon. The caulk had to dry before we could close the door. When dry, I tried to close and lock it with a key using my body weight to push hard but it would not close. I opened the main garage door and was able to pull hard and lock it from the inside. I called and he came back the next day. I was unsure if I was being charged $124 per hour for him to fix it correctly and I was honestly afraid to ask. He didn't say but either way I knew it had to be done. After two hours I told him I had to get back to work. I asked how long would he be? He told me he wanted to make sure it was done right and to my satisfaction. I told him to call me if he needed me and left him to finish. He already had my credit card info if needed and I asked my tenant to try the key in the lock when he was done. I came back on my lunchbreak a couple hours later. The frame was fixed, he cleaned up the area and he was gone. My tenant said the key worked great and there was no other charge."

They were also very flexible about when they could come out to do the work. Their price was competitive, so I asked them to come. The locksmith arrived on time and she was efficient and helpful. She asked if I wanted to reuse the old housing for aesthetic reasons (I did), so she put that back on, rather than use the new one. She cleaned up after herself. I asked her if she could go ahead and key the lock to match my others (it was a Kwikset lock designed to do this and it's easy, but I was too lazy to read the directions to remember how to do it) and she was happy to do so. <br />"

"I want to give a HUGE thank you to Kathy, Matt, David, and Tom and crew from Advanced Green Home Solutions. This company performed a BGE home energy audit on our house, two weeks ago. They went above and beyond to diagnose and repair a major air leak in one of our two foot bump outs. There was a constant 10-15 degree temperature variance in one of our bedrooms. It was as if a window was constantly open. This past weekend, we had them air seal our entire house, as well as insulate our bump outs on both the front and back of the house and our entire attic. What a difference this has made!! Our house is no longer drafty, and 67 degrees feels VERY cozy in our house, as opposed to 72, that we used to keep our thermostat on. Our heat actually reaches the temp on the thermostat and shuts off because the house maintains a set temperature now. The work crew that performed the work, was utmost professional and took great care to make sure the problematic issues were addressed and repaired. They even worked through 27 degree weather for 12 straight hours, until the job was done. BGE paid $2000 toward the total invoice, so it ended up being VERY affordable out-of-pocket, for all that was done. My husband and I were so amazed by how many air leaks, a home could have. We had major air leaks in all of our recessed lighting, bump outs, and all over our attic (that was sucking warm air from our living areas). I would highly recommend having a BGE home energy audit! So happy to have gone this route!"
