I'm currently looking for some fill in work for this winter. I'm a very capable carpenter/painter. I have full time work Monday through Friday, but have some availability on weekends.

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Alan is a trustworthy guy who wants to make his customers happy.  For big jobs, he works with a friend, and both of them together can do essentially anything (including basic electrical and basic plumbing).  We first hired him to remodel our bathroom.  It included tearing a wall down and expanding it so a bath could fit in the room.  They also had to tear down a 150 year old brick chimney in the process.  They installed a new vanity, built a shelving unit into the wall and put in the lighting.  The finished product was good.  The room was not square, but the house is built in 1836, so I don't know if anyone could have done that.  
Next, we had him install a railing on our stairs.  This came out great no complaints.  
He then installed a bedroom with laminate flooring and also the stair landing.  This job was not as clean, some of the floor trim was not edged and the lines of the wood running from the bedroom to the stair landing were not flush.  These negatives though were a result of a positive - that is, for this job, he worked from dusk until sun up because he had other jobs/commitments later in the week.  He is an extremely hard worker.  For this job we traded the finishing touches for timely completion - and overall the finished product was still good.  
The last major job was the sheetrocking in between our beams downstairs. 
In most jobs, there was a little clean up I had to do - pieces of wood from the carpentry of the bathroom left in a crawlspace, horsehair plaster or sheetrock left crumbled on the floor.  They forgot to include thresholds in the bathroom and bedroom jobs as well.  HOWEVER,  whenever I spoke with Alan about any of this, anything I had not already done, he came over promptly and fixed/completed/cleaned it.  He was reachable and kind and we trusted him.  He said a few times that he wanted to make sure we were happy.  
We called him on two or three separate occasions because he is a hard worker, he is trustworthy and his price is reasonable.  We would call him again for sure.

"I contacted Cully because of his ratings on Angie's List as it is very hard to find a reliable contractor in this small town where we own apartments.
Cully immediately got back to me - we discussed what work needed to be done and he had a very professional proposal emailed to me within 24 hours.  The price was right on target for work performed and we are very satisfied with his work.   Initially, we agreed for him to sheet-rock 2 ceilings but found that he was so knowledgable and handy so we also had him put up paneling.
We did not have him paint the interior as we did that ourselves (he did paint the ceilings when completed).  Come spring time, I will hire him again to do some exterior painting.  He is my first "go-to" now when we need repairs, painting, or sheet-rocking done.  He cleaned up each time he finished working, making it look better than it had before he started.  
Cully was always on time and in communication with me either by phone or email so I knew where the project stood at all times.  He even suggested an electrician and was there to let him in and explain what we wanted done when we had to upgrade our smoke detectors.
I would highly recommend Cully, he went above and beyond what was asked of him.

"Overall it went pretty well.  They stared early and stayed late to make up time lost for rain.  They were very concientious about picking up every day.  John and his entire crew were very friendly and respectful. 

At first I wasn't very pleased with the number of visible seams in the flashing on the roof facing the driveway.  The roof is very "wavy" due to the settling of our ancient house and apparently the seams were unavoidable.  Everything has settled more and it is fine.  What is most important is that John talked to us about it and wanted to do anything he could to make sure we were happy with the job.

We would hire him again for work.  He seems to love what he does and he wants to make sure his customers are happy and it shows."

"Hi Tech is an extremely well run organization, top to bottom. From President Bill Chase, Nick Painten (Production Manager), Julie (front office operations), Bill McGurn (Operations Manager) and the Hi Tech crew, the entire team is outstanding. Bill Chase took the time up front to provide a rundown of the services, materials and an estimate. He's very personable, competent and professional. As the work was in progress, Nick made several trips to check the overall project quality and asked if there were any questions or problems each time. And upon completion, Bill Chase followed up with a phone call to see if we were happy with the work. The Company is extremely responsive, always. The siding and window crew, the electrician and gutter teams are professional, courteous, detailed and very hard working. The home is a large, 1850s Mansard colonial with plenty of detail- 10 dormered windows and fancy trim. The men replicated the detail to perfection, replacing all rotted trim and crown molding with PVC, which looks exactly like wood, but is weather and rot proof. The crew worked from 7:30 AM to just shy of dark, and cleaned up meticulously at the end of each day. Got plenty of compliments from passers by even before the work was completed. My wife and I couldn't be happier."
