"We had a wonderful experience working with Modern Day Design. We did a mini kitchen reno, changing everything in our 2003 kitchen except for the cabinets. Jessica handled all of our communication with schedules, timelines, and subcontractors. Jim and Jake were great as well - Jim created a little microwave nook for us in our existing pantry and did a beautiful job on adding the crown and shoe molding. We gave them a deadline of before Christmas and they did it!! We absolutely love our new kitchen and it already feels like home!"

"As a female homeowner, I felt so comfortable having the kitchen tune-up crew in my home! They were professional, clean, knowledgeable, and offered advice and suggestions. I am beyond pleased with the final kitchen design. My cabinets are beautiful and I now have kitchen organization systems, and an updated look. So so happy! Cannot wait to have the family and friends over. Thank you Nick, Tessia, and team!"

"Contacted me promptly, was able to do the little jobs quickly and accomplished all of them in short order. I will definitely hire Michael again for projects."

"Albert was a great find! He repaired our wood cabinet that was coming away from the wall. It looks just as it did before it was broken. Albert was polite , efficient, cost effective & cleaned up afterwards."

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"JC and his crew showed up on time and built a pantry cabinet of better quality than the water damaged cabinet they replaced by far ! Great job guys !"

"We could not have done the rebuild with out Stephen help. I soon realized l could trust him to follow up on everything we asked. He was more like a contractor than a handyman. From rebuilding a bath to setting kitchen cabinets I could not ask for a better man."

"To make a long story short, the day after he performed the above work another toilet in the house developed a very minor leak around its wax base. This toilet is directly above where he had soldered, in my basement, one of the new spigots to the existing copper pipe.
Bob said these were unrelated and I ordinarily would tend to agree. However, it seems unlikely a wax seat, which had never leaked before, would simply begin to leak on its own only hours after work had been done immediately around it. I was left wondering if he had used the toilet drain pipe as leverage while disconnecting the copper pipe right next to it (which took some force and some banging). I don't know how else to explain such an unlikely coincidence. The bottom line was I had a new problem to fix.
As for the toilet fill valve and flapper he replaced, he did not install the valve to code (not high enough in the tank) nor properly install the refill tube. The kit's instructions read: "WARNING: Do not shove refill tube down overflow pipe. This may cause significant water waste." Bob shoved the refill tube down the overflow pipe. He also used an older kit; newer, more water-efficient valve kits are available.
(To keep this review short, I'm omitting other aspects of his work I was also unhappy with.)
Bob did schedule and arrive promptly, which got me out of a bind as I was preparing to leave town, and he charged a fair price. But in addition to not solving one problem, he created at least two additional problems for me to fix."

"Excellent work/service job on my cabinet microwave the contractor was prompted and efficient in his job thank you"
