"I got his name from Angie's List and called him because of his high recommendations. He was available for the very next day to do the work, but I had to set the appointment for a different day. Later, I had to change the time of the appointment and he was able to do that with no problem. He installed the carpet over a hardwood floor and did it in a very professional manner. You could tell he knew what he was doing and had all the proper tools to do a quality job. When he finished the job, he cleaned up the entire area and removed all leftover scraps. We were very pleased with the quality of the job, and the professionalism of the installation. We would recommend him to others. <br />"

"I highly recommend Nu-Way Systems Carpet Dying and Cleaning. I have used them twice and both times I was extremely impressed with their thoroughness. They tested the fabric of my furniture before cleaning to prevent damage and did a fabulous job spot treating and cleaning the carpets. They are the best I have used!"

"We hired Lonnie's to remove and install carpet tiles for our new office. My salesman was Bob and it was an overall great experience. The quote was very reasonable compared to others we received. Because they had to order the carpet the installation was later than expected, but Bob and George kept in contact with me letting me know the progress of the shipment. The carpet installers were professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to others."

"They sold and installed three rooms of carpeting. Im mostly satisfied. I feel there was more leftover carpet than there should have been. Also, salesperson did not let installers know they needed to move furniture-which delayed the start and caused it to become a 2day vs one day job. Installers were extremely friendlyand courteous and they did a really nice thorough job."

"We ordered shed at our local Lowe's store on a Monday. Lowe's employee was not regular person to order sheds. It took 2 of them to create order. They did not tell us of options we may/should have ordered but overall did a fair job for us. Heartland called us on Tuesday to set up installation date. After talking with them, we made some changes to our order which did not affect installation date. Angel (Heartland employee) called us to confirm the changes next day and answered further questions. Angel was exceptional customer service employee at Heartland. <br /> Angel called us 2 days ahead of installation and confirmed everything was OK. Installer Matt arrived approximately 7:40 AM on Friday to build shed. Matt was exceptionally cooperative and a real hard working builder. We had a problem with the bolts that were installed in the slab but that did not deter Matt at all. He continued to build as I cut off bolts. My cement contractor arrived to cut off the last 4 bolts. Matt put shed together by himself in approximately 6 hours. <br /> <br />"

"We are extremely pleased with the results and the entire experience with this company. The serviceman was prompt and courteous and spent 3-1/2 hours in our home. This company was the lowest bid of the three we had quoted. All were rated "A" on Angie's List. I was skeptical at first because of the low price, and this was the only company that does not use hot water extraction. We decided to try them anyway because of the excellent reviews on Angie's List. We were not disappointed one bit and we saved well over one hundred dollars. The carpet was dry in just a couple of hours."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Belvidere, IL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
