"They did a very good job with the roof and the addition that came off the house and covered the deck. The only reason I gave them a B rating for quality instead of an A has to do with the finishing touches on the addition. All around the house the soffit fascia is covered in white sheet metal. When they finished the addition, which follows the roof line of the back of the house. They left it with bare, untreated wood. They don't use treated lumber because it reacts with the metal roofing and some corrosion may result. That's fine, but they should have at least covered it so that it tied in with the rest of the roof line. As we did our final inspection, I asked about the wood being treated and he explained why they don't use it. I said " so I guess I'll have to cover it?" He said that I would. I was leaving town on business in a couple days and had a lot going on, so I guess I just didn't think to put my foot down and insist they do it. Here in Mobile, Alabama we are the wettest city in the nation. We get more annual rainfall than Seattle, and it's humid. Wood rot happens.I went and bought some Thompson's Water Seal, and some sheet metal and took care of it myself. I have some pictures, but I don't see how to post them on this review page. The workers were very polite and cleaned up very well each day.

We had a minor leak in my bedroom closet. He went into the attic and could not see where the leak was coming from. He looked for the leak from the roof as well and he let me know that my roof should have about 7 years left in it. He was on time and polite but only at my home for about 15 minutes.

"This company is owned and run by "old school" professional people who do what they say they will do. Everyone from the office staff to the crew that did the work to the owner Greg McBride were wonderful to work with. "I called Patch Adams when I noticed that there was a wet spot on my kitchen ceiling.  I wanted to see what it would cost for a new roof.  They came right out...within one hour of my phone call they were at my home. They did a thorough inspection of my roof, and of my attic.  They also gave me an estimate for a new roof to be installed.  The price they quoted was $5900 (with change) for one type of shingle, and $6100 for another type of shingle.  Along with a "chimney repair".  I thought it was high but told them I would call them back after I had received several other quotes.  I also had asked them if it looked like there was any wind or hail damage, to which they replied no.
  Another company (Sta Dry) came out the following week and inspected everything.  Their quote was  $500 less, but they indicated that there was some wind/hail damage, and I could possibly qualify for a new roof just by paying my deductible on my homeowners policy.  Sta Dry sent someone who was there when my insurance company sent an adjuster, and was with him the entire time.  I did end up getting a new roof and having to pay just the deductible as a result of Sta Dry's efforts.  I was very glad I had called them!

"Very easy to work with and knew / shared extensive knowledge during bid, at the job, and after finished (i.e. need to wait at least 30 days before washing newly painted bathroom).  Quality work, repaired and went beyond in fixing any mistakes (painted extra wall when some paint from the ceiling got on an unpainted wall). Cleaned up well and left us all the extra paint. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that at times when he set up a phone or visit appointment, it was delayed due to being so busy on other jobs. However, he never left me hanging too long and always called the same day to report any delay's. Due to not being in any rush for this job, it was not a big deal to me.

"The installation team(owner and one employee) knew one another and has installed the same windows over and over again so everything was installed perfectly. They placed drop clothes in the areas they worked on and cleaned up with a shop vac and nothing was damaged. Meadow Exteriors is a small company but in my opinion their aim is to be the best not the biggest company. I am very pleased with their results. I paid half down when I signed the contract ($7500) and it took about a month before my windows were ready. I highly recommend this company.
