After our session I removed the wall oven from the kitchen cabinet enclosure, found the suspected part, and confirmed it had indeed failed (as we had discussed during our session. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"Billy first came out to check the gas valve for the oven. He ended up just tapping it and the oven started heating again. He explained that if the valve were to stick again, it will need to be replaced. He gave an estimate of the cost of the part. About 2 weeks later, the oven quit heating again. I called and gave the model and serial #'s and the part was ordered. Billy called when the part came in and came out the next day to install it. He was a very nice and professional person. The company called to make sure what he did was to my satisfaction. I said yes. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a repair on a major appliance or a new appliance."

(We even called on a Saturday and got a visit that day.) He gave us a very reasonable estimate to repair the dryer. But considering the brand and age of our dryer, we decided it would be best to replace it with a new-to-us dryer."
