"We contracted for our new home in October, 2012.  Jon's Woodworking was recommended to us by another client and we met with Jon Deel shortly after.  We worked directly with Jon  and his colleagues, describing what we wanted our cabinets to look like and Jon came back with a very complete preliminary design and estimate.  After some discussion Jon made some excellent suggestions for improving the design, none of which affected his original estimate.  Jon coordinated carefully with our builder and came out to the home site during the interior framing phase.  He laid out the cabinet placement, coordinated with the plumbing and electrical contractors and made some internal modifications to accommodate the other trades.  The cabinets were delivered on site on schedule and installation was accomplished quickly and professionally.  All the measurements and tolerances were absolutely perfect, allowing appliances and fixtures to be installed with precision.  Every surface was finished expertly.  We had selected drawer pulls from another source.  It turned out that we had miscalculated the size for some of the drawers causing some of the pulls to be slightly too long.  Jon alerted us and, rather than having to purchase new pulls, volunteered that he could trim the ends of the pulls to a more appropriate length.  These were solid stainless steel rods.  Jon was able to trim them to fit and did such an expert job of finishing the ends that no one could tell that they had been altered at all.  This saved us a considerable amount of money and time.  This is typical of the type of skill, craftsmanship, and service that Jon's Woodworking is known for.  We are very happy that Jon's Woodworking was recommended to us and we will use them again and recommend them to others. <br />"

"The first installation (on a tight deadline) left us with incorrect overhang (3and quot; in lieu of standard 1.5and quot;) at the end...incorrect spacing at the oven opening (1/4and quot; between front and back)...a mess I had to clean up and four very large black marks (circular suction cups 8and quot; dia) on the countertop. After discussing with Barry (owner) we took time out of our schedule for completion to assist him in getting the work he had schedule done and completed, he in return promised his best guy, one day turnaround, and something to compensate us for the issues. <br /> WE pushed our schedule out a month to January 4th for a 1 day in and out and ended up receiving the SAME crew (not his best guy), the slab we actually paid for, a mess I had to clean up, and no compensation despite his word. <br /> I have contacted the parent company (Cozy Carpet owner Matt is 1/2 owner) of whom we got the contract thru 3 times and haven't heard a peep from Granite city. Poor communication and customer service!!! <br />"

After looking around unsuccessfully at numerous places to find something that would work, I saw their business ad on Craigslist with photos. Although the ad was for custom children's furniture, it showed Tim, a good sized guy, standing on it! I emailed them and talked to Kim, his partner, to describe what I wanted. They requested a drawing, but I was unable to provide one, so Tim and Kim came over and measured for what I needed. After a week or so, they came back to deliver the step.
