"We had previously used Art Woodstone 10 years earlier when we asked them to build extensive bookcases and cabinets when we finished our basement. When it came time this year to redo our main floor we turned to Tea and George again to do a slightly smaller but unique project to build two wall bookcases that would connect to a fireplace mantle and then two moveable wooden dog crates to fill in the space below the bookcases and to either side of the hearth. From a rough sketch of what the finished concept would look like, they were able to produce a beautiful custom set. It matched our vision exactly. They worked with our primary contractor's lead carpenter to ensure the piece would have good anchoring in the studs behind the drywall. I cannot speak highly enough of their craftsmanship. The bookcase and mantlepiece are beautiful pieces of wood and spectacular to look at. The dog crates are beyond exceptional. The careful work George did to ensure tight joins at the corners and the wooden slats was stunning. Our lead carpenter from the renovation was deeply impressed by the work. As an add on to this effort, they also restored a large wooden partner's desk that has been in our family for over 50 years. Over that time the desk had it's finish worn away in spots, was sunbleached in others, and had corners gnawed on by puppies in the day. They took that shabby mess of a desk and restored to a shine and gleam that is something to behold. AWS is worth every penny that you will pay for their work. True artisans with an eye for detail and a feel for design. Would recommend them EVERY time."

"We recently completed our third successful renovation project with NV. As usual they completed the work to our exact specifications, on time and on budget. We have now used this company to renovate our kitchen, all our bathrooms, and most recently reface our fireplace and install custom built-in bookshelves. The one time we used a different company on a separate project - a basement renovation we wanted to get going on in a time slot that NV was booked - we quickly regretted it because we didn't experience the same level of reliability, honesty about how long things would take, and clockwork organization of different trade teams. "Alexander gave me my dream kitchen!!! I had heard horror stories about contractors before we started remodeling but working with Alexander was not only a great experience, but we could not be happier with the results! He was extremely responsive from day 1 til the last day and always picks up his phone no matter when you call him. From our first meeting, he worked with OUR budget and tried to find us ways to save money, even suggesting that we re-use our current granite! I insisted on getting new granite and of course he was happy to help us with that, sending us to a great slab yard where we picked out the perfect piece of granite. The cabinets he recommended are real wood and excellent quality (soft close drawers and everything!) and ended up costing less than what another contractor was charging us for IKEA cabinets! Not to mention that Alexander did all the design work for us and all we had to was tweak based on our preferences. He was very flexible throughout the process and let us pick out the hardware and accessories and changed the kitchen design so I could have my farmhouse apron sink! He also worked within our very tight deadline and was more worried about keeping on schedule (and about protecting our new hardwood!) than we were. :) He is a great contractor to work with and truly cares about his customers and the end results. We are extremely pleased!!!"

"We just finished remodeling our two master baths. One was a complete remodel down to the studs, reconfiguring, and rebuilding. The other was more modest where the original footprint remained intact. We were not sure exactly what we wanted, and we worked with KBR Designer Silviya to design a bathroom that we now love. She was more than patient as she guided us through the seemingly endless options including basic design and selection of materials. She was extremely knowledgeable and had great ideas that we incorporated into our projects. Once we settled on what wanted, Project Manager Huseyin and his crew took over the construction. Like Silviya, the crew was exceptionally talented and completed the project with a minimum of disturbance. Everyone at KBR was very professional, easy to work with, and flexible. Remodeling can be extraordinarily stressful and disruptive, but KBR easily overcame the obstacles and produced wonderful results. We would highly recommend them."

"I was combining bright white cabinets on the perimeter of my kitchen with a walnut peninsula.  That required either getting a single granite that would work with both or two granites that would work with the different woods and each other.  I had searched on my own a couple of times and was leaning toward a particular granite.   Nick was able to talk me out of a bad decision.  He then very patiently evaluated dozens of granites with me, pointing out potential problems with some, narrowing down to others.  His expertise with stone helped me to choose beautiful slabs that work perfectly in my kitchen.  I then purchased the slabs and they were delivered to his shop. 
His process (customer buys slab, Nick's crew fabricates the countertop) yields left-over stone in his shop.  From this, he chose a perfect stone for my laundry room.  He measured, then his crew installed a week later.
For the kitchen, he was able to install less than a week after measuring.  That is amazingly fast turnaround for granite fabrication.  The granites were fabricated perfectly and look gorgeous.  Very professional crew.
Overall, it was a terrific experience.  Stonework is as much art as craft.  Nick has great taste and is willing to share that with his customers to help them make great choices.
