"Really impressed by the "old-school" craftsmanship and attention to detail - templates were perfect - installers were pros - no question about it.  The seams are barely perceptible.   The team that did the installation definitely went above and beyond to make sure all the little items were resolved (how to fasten the downdraft, waterline access for the coffee maker.)   They also worked very "clean" and spent an admirable time cleaning up the worksite when done.     <br /> Everyone showed up on time, and called to confirm when they were on their way. <br /> Only thought for other customers - weekday shopping for the slabs may be smoother than our weekend experience.   The staff was enthusiastic and helpful on the weekend, but not as knowledgable as the professionals that took over the execution of the project for us.    <br /> We highly recommend (and we don't do that often!)  Exceptionally beautiful work. <br />"

"Excellent ! Installers showed up on time and on dates scheduled. Took precautions to avoid any collateral damage and debris spreading. Installed new countertops and sink as requested and insured area was clean prior to leaving. All completed in a very fast and timely manner. Explained precautions and maintenance procedures and were very friendly. Highly recommended company and a real pleasure to deal with. Company spokesperson followed up with phone calls to insure all was satisfactory."

"Mark impressed me with his initial assessment of the condition of my units. I had expected to just refinish the two units due to the outdated color, but Mark showed me the cracks and deflection of the unit floors, convincing me that I needed to take care of the problem. Mark was extremely professional throughout the whole process. Even though I was not particularly sensitive to him showing up at any specific time, as I had a number of other renovation projects going on at the same time, he provided constant text and voice updates of his status. I was a bit surprise at how messy and labor-intensive this refinishing process is. Mark had to come back probably four or five times to compete all of the repair, preparation and finishing steps, which reassured me that the deal I got was fair. Mark was very thorough with the ventilation and worked in various cartridge respirators, even using supplied breathing air for some steps when he was working with solvent-based chemicals. In the end, the units both look like new. Overall, my experience was similar to those expressed by the other members who gave Mark very positive reviews. <br />"

"We just had our foyer/hallway tiled with large format (12" x 24") Italian porcelain tile. It was re-do of the work done by someone else <br /> that turned out just terrible. The surface was so uneven it was unpleasant to walk on (we could almost stub our toes!). The store owner, Deb, is not only knowledgeable, but she is prompt and very helpful (I should add that she is also kind and sweet to boot!). We highly recommend Distinctive Tile and Stone. It has been a real pleasure working with Deb and her family. Her son, Eirik, is a true craftsman, and does installation like no other (you do pay for his expertise, but it's well worth it). Now the floor is flat, smooth, and a pleasure to walk on! I can't imagine going to anyone else! We are starting on the bathroom remodel next week with Deb and Eirik. <br />"

"Actually good. There were some issues but Kitchen Magic was very responsive to our concerns and acted on them in a very reasonable amount of time. Two sets of doors were cut too thin and had to be replaced. This delayed the project by a week. There were some issues with division of labor responsibility where the plumber said he was not responsible for some things and it was up to the cabinet installers. The cabinet installers said it was up the plumber and not them. Actually, the plumber was right in most of the debate. The plumber didn't realize that he had to caulk around our new kitchen faucet base and it leaked when we washed dishes if water got on top of the sink. The plumber figured the base as a gasket and it would take care of it, it really didn't. We asked the cabinet installers to caulk and they did, no problems since. We had soffits removed and there was some ceiling damage as would be expected. The repair was included but at first Kitchen Magic would only put on 2 coats of mud and said they were not responsible for making the repair "paint ready". After a bit of discussion, Kitchen Magic had the installer do the smoothing. All installers did a fantastic job. Things fit nicely and caulking was neatly and professionally done. Everyone who worked on the project were very friendly, accommodating and very professional. We are very happy with the cabinets, draws, counter top,and back splash we chose. The cabinets are solid, not flimsy. I could almost give Kitchen Magic A all the way but I do think some of the issues kept the job going longer than we had hoped. I'm not really sure if the price we paid was great or just good. It appears to be fair, especially since they stand behind the cabinets and installation for as long as you own the house. Note that we had electrical work done, new flooring done as well as kitchen wall repair that was outside Kitchen Magic's scope. Kitchen Magic coordinated with the other contractors very well."
