"They seemed super nice -- until it didn't work. Who knows, maybe it works for some strains. the strain I tested positive for, after their first treatment, is penicillin/aspergillis and it does nothing for that. I asked, why are we doing the same thing again if it didn't work? No answer. They have a guarantee. In the second treatment, they tripped and broke two electrical circuits which cost a bit. After the second time it didn't work, I politely asked for my money back and they were rude. Didn't return my emails or texts. Not willing to honor the guarantee, which is the only reason I felt comfortable spending 3K on this. Save yourself. Don't be pulled in. I am ruined. They are taking advantage of people who are in hell."

"Elevation did a great job. We have had several cleanings over the past few years and we have also done it ourselves, but the carpets and upholstery have never been cleaner. Husband/wife team were very efficient in getting furniture moved, legs covered, and cleaning done in a very prompt manner."

"Wade and Jacob were very professional and courteous. They were on time and explained everything they were doing and took before and after pictures of my entire duct work and air handler. Wade was also very kind and provided the dryer vent cleaning at no extra charge. Wade and Jacob accommodated us by maintaining the use of face masks and foot coverings not only respecting our home but also our health and safety at this time of Covid. We greatly appreciated his company’s services and would highly recommend them."

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Black Mountain, NC

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
