So drove out picked up part this place was amazing they seemed to have everything! will be going back. "It turned out the problems were unrelated. The technician couldn't find any obvious place where the icemaker was leaking (though he was able to verify that a leak was happening). He wound up using some silicone to create a seal, and it's been working fine for 2 months now. The other problem was caused by the frost-free defrost drain being frozen. The technician spent a long time defrosting all the ice that had built up inside the back of the refrigerator. Apparently there was also a service bulletin for this model, something about the heat exchanger being hooked up properly. He made that adjustment and also installed a homemade heat conductor to keep the drain clear. Unfortunately, that hasn't completely solved the problem, after 2 months I've got the sheet of ice at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment problem again. It just happened, so I don't know whether it will be happening at 2 month intervals, or weekly again. Overall, I was satisfied with the initial service (though of course I wish the problem hadn't recurred). I haven't called back yet, I only discovered the problem just now as I was writing this review."

"I discovered on Monday morning that the refrigerator side of my refrigerator/freezer was running at about 50 degrees. It being a Monday, I figured the repair services would be backlogged from the weekend. I called Appliance Repair service early in the morning and was told a repairman would be here in a few hours. The man showed up in about an hour. A second man came shortly afterward. They discovered the issue to be a bad defrost thermostat that was not allowing the cold air from the freezer to pass into the refrigerator. The repair was complete in less than 2 hours and the refrigerator has been running correctly since. The men were very professional and cleaned up everything before they left. I was extemely pleased with the prompt and professional service.

I called for an appointment to estimate cost of repair of a Kitchenaid side by side which had gradually stopped getting cold so that I can determine if a new refrigerator had to be purchased. Jeff stated he had other jobs to do but was able to come by and take a look the same day. He quickly diagnosed the problem, made a call to get the parts needed, picked them up and installed them. The refrigerator started operating like new. His service and consideration saved me from the expensive task of purchasing a new appliance. I feel blessed in knowing him for future repairs."
