"Found out that our roof was not installed properly because they did not use washers with the nails. They also did not seal off the old vents properly. This has caused water leakage. Check BBB, this company’s accreditation has been revoked."

"It went terrible. I was supposed to get a 40 year shingle put on and instead got a cheap 25 year generic shingles put on. Then they tried to charge me for putting icemelt all the way around the house because that’s what our city code is after we already agreed upon a price. Stay away from these people they’re terrible"

"The work was done properly and when some additional jobs were added, Mr Grant went out of his way to get subcontractor's in to fix the added jobs promptly. I was very happy with the results and would recommend Steven Grant Construction to anyone who needed a prompt quote and a properly done job. He took the extra steps to finish my job within the quote so I stayed on budget."

"They do not back their work!! Don’t make the same mistake I did!! 3 years later my ridge cap is coming apart due to the nails being drove in too tight and the won’t fix it. Well the first 2 times I called them they were going to fix it but after 4 weeks with no call back I called a third time and the owners wife was rude and told me it’s not under warranty?! Find a company that backs their work. Read there reviews and BBB complaints."

FAQs for flat, foam, or single ply roofing installation and replacement projects in Bloomington, IL

Many roofing pros point to PVC as the top performer on flat roofs thanks to its tough seams and long-term waterproofing. A properly installed PVC membrane can last 30 years or more, resisting ponding water and harsh weather with ease. You will pay more up front than you would for EPDM, but the added durability often translates into fewer repairs and a lower cost per year of service.

Yes, a rubber roof is an environmentally friendly choice. Most rubber membranes contain recycled content and can reflect heat, which helps trim cooling bills in hot weather. Manufacturing has a lighter footprint than many traditional materials, and the long lifespan means fewer tear-offs headed to the landfill. If sustainability is a priority, ask your roofer about brands that carry third-party eco-certifications and confirm they meet local environmental standards.
