"I submitted my request on Angis list at 11:30PM and the same night I got a reply to schedule next day service!! From start to finish everyone was extremely nice. Pricing was upfront, accurate and fair compared to the market. I was very impressed."

"We had a pipe so clogged it needed to be removed and replaced. Bob Jones Plumbing came to our house very quickly, they worked efficiently and cleaned up their mess. There were 3/4 men there working for 3 hours. It cost $800. The only issue I have is that they removed all the insulation in the wall and didn't replace it (or advise us to replace it). When we had a cold snap a few weeks later the pipes froze up several times."

"I called the office on Friday, the person who answered was very friendly. She set me up for an appointment on Tuesday 7:30am. On Monday afternoon she called me back and asked if we could change the appointment to Wednesday at 10:00 or 11:00. I told her that was fine as long as it would be ok for my daughter (19 yrs old) to be there in my place, because i had to work. The tech got there at about 12:20 and completed the work within an hour. I guess the main problem i have is; by me not being there i had to leave my daughter with a signed check to pay the bill. The tech gave her a receipt, but no invoice or ticket for what was done. So besides the initial $74 minimum for the first hour, I have no idea what i paid for. I called the office to find out and was told that they mail out the invoices after the info is put into the system.
Other than that, i am very happy that my sink is now fixed.
"

"I picked Master Dry because they were decently rated on Angie's list but mostly because they were available. (Many people had flooding issues after this storm, and one major company I called said they couldn't even do an estimate for two weeks!) I supplied my contact information to the Master Dry person on the phone, letting her know I was not physically at the house (a rental) and asking for advance notice of any workers' arrival so I could have time to drive to meet them at the house.
The next day, I got a phone call from the Master Dry office saying the workers were at the house and no one was home. Fortunately, when I contacted the workers directly, they agreed to wait for my arrival after saying no one had told them to call ahead or given them any contact information. Two men, one clearly a new trainee, checked things out and said they should be able to do the remediation over the weekend, even though it was Memorial Day weekend. I did not get an estimate. (I attribute not noticing that and not asking for a written one to my panicked state.)
On Saturday, the workers did call ahead to let me know they were able to begin the work, which they did: removing wet drywall and paneling and doors. One of the three people working was a middle aged, overweight woman who left exhausted well before the end of the first day, taking with her the truck that was supposed to haul away debris. The debris sat in the side yard of the house for two more days before being removed. The remaining two workers did stack it reasonably neatly as out of the way as possible. They sprayed everything with an organic antimicrobial solution and placed 10 large fans and a very large dehumidifier in the basement, saying they would run for 3 days and that I should then wait for an additional 3 days before beginning repairs. They finished and left at 5 pm on Saturday. On Thursday, the fans were still going with no word from Master Dry to me. By then I had informed my insurance company of the incident, and when I told my agent the remediation was still ongoing, the insurance company sent a representative from a Master Dry competitor to measure moisture left in the basement. They found it to be dry enough to begin repairs. Also, someone who had retired from doing this type of work happened to visit the house during that period, and ventured the opinion that 5 fans would have been enough for such a compact space. This matters since the fans bill at $30 each per day.
I notified Master Dry to finish the job. The woman I spoke with was defensive, denied it had been 5 days (this was late on Thursday), and informed me that, since I was stopping too soon, they would not guarantee the remediation. On the plus side, I got a quick response and a dry basement. The lead worker was knowledgeable, pleasant and proficient, and explained everything to me. The damaged drywall and paneling was also cut out in a way that left neat edges, facilitating repair. Interestingly, in keeping with the phone denial, they ended up only billing me for 4 days, not 5, even though they did not pull the equipment until midday Friday. I am left to wonder, however, how long the fans would have run and been billed for had the duration not been challenged. Hence my hesitation to use them again or recommend them.
"

"
The plumber arrived promptly and shut the main water. He also determined that the outside faucet was not winterized. He shut the inner valve and was in a hurry to get out of there. He promised to follow up with what would be a permanent fix but never did.

He didnt have the time to diagnose if the pipe had indeed burst and whether it required redoing.
He also promised to provide an estimate for the outdoor faucet replacement (his rough estimate was $300 but wasnt sure whether that would be anti-frost or regular and when pressed for details promised to get back to us)

"

"I went down into our garage on Friday noon, January 22, to find the sewer line to the street had backed up and drainage water was seeping up through the pipe into our garage- YUCK! I am giving the date because the East Coast "Storm of the Century" Snowzilla storm was predicted to start that afternoon (and it did. 28 inches.) I called a plumber in our town that we had used before and they said that they were busy until the following Wednesday. Eeeek! I thought we were going to have to sit through the blizzard without running water until I noticed Mr. Rooter was in the next town over and gave them a call. The receptionist was very friendly and professional and checked to find out that they could send someone to work on our situation in 45 minutes. Happy dance! Mike was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and was able to get the clog in our line cleared in less than an hour. My husband and I were very impressed and very thankful to have running water again before the big snowstorm. I would be happy to call Mr. Rooter again for any of their services and to recommend them to others.
"

"My wife and I decided to have HHC inspect and service the heat pump unit in order to determine if we needed a new unit or could we get by with the current unit for a while longer- which option made the best sense. Our unit is 15 years old. I was impressed with HHC's professionalism, knowledge and courtesy. The owner of the company is involved in all aspects of the day to day operation of the company and attends and leads all installation and was present at the first inspection in the Fall. As a result, I asked them to quote me on a price for a new unit. I would recommend to anyone to include HHC in a quote to service or replace a unit. They are thorough and knowledgeable in determining what type and size you need.
"
