"The two men who did the cleaning were excellent. They explained the process, were professional in their approach and cleaned the carpet in the time they said it would take . The carpets look great."

"This was my first experience with Rigdon, and it couldn’t have been easier. The whole process was honest, smooth, and pleasant. They communicated well, made everything stress-free, and I’m definitely planning to be a repeat customer. This was my first time having holiday lights installed, and Rigdon made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. After a scare last year, I knew I didn’t want to handle it myself and wanted someone experienced. Rigdon worked with me on a wide range of design options and really listened to what I wanted. They communicated clearly every step of the way and even coordinated the takedown around my birthday, which was such a nice touch. Everything was seamless from start to finish. I’ll absolutely be using them again."

"It went very well. We received timely emails giving us information, arrival times, and a picture of the installer which is a big safety factor. Lucas did a fine job of installation and was very helpful. He certainly knows his craft. The new blinds look great. Our sales rep, Denise, did a thorough job when she brought several samples for us to consider. She was prompt, professional, and friendly. This is the second time we have bought window treatments from her - hence, happy repeat clients. I am happy to recommend this company, Denise and Lucas."

"We hired FreshStart to do a mold inspection on a house we were looking to purchase. Ben came out and did the inspection and found no evidence of mold. He did give hints for what we could do post purchase to help prevent mold from occurring in both the basement and the attic. Was very satisfied with the inspection and will hire FreshStart Restoration if we ever need services for mold remediation."

"Last November I spent $2700.00 for Solar to install new guttering on my home. Last week I started seeing problems with the guttering and when I contacted Solar, they sent out a rep to look at the guttering and according to him the guttering was a truly embarrassing work of installation. His comment after inspecting the guttering was " this guttering was not installed properly and I'll be surprised if this guttering even stays on for a year!" I am now responsible for, as they put it, "removing and properly reinstalling the gutters myself!!" Or spend the money once more for them to correct their incredibly shoddy workmanship by properly installing the guttering."

Maintaining your commercial and residential carpet, tile and furniture, not only enhances its appearance, but also extends the life of the item as well. Not to mention the many health benefits related to the removal of potential disease carrying pathogens.\n\nDid you know that carpet is one of the most neglected areas in your home? You may think your carpets look fine... but what you can't see is harmful bacteria that may be lurking.\n\nAnd that bacteria can be the cause of many illnesses and disease, including strep throat, meningitis, pheumonia, and whooping cough. The list goes on-and-on! Bacteria can also attack the body and compromise its own immune system. Hot water extraction or "steam cleaning" is the best way to kill these harmful bacteria. Everyone should have their carpets steam cleaned on a regularly scheduled basis. Steam cleaning your carpets on a regular basis reduces harmful bacteria, eliminates bad odors, improves air quality, and most importantly, protects your overall health!

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Blue Springs, MO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
