He politely advised me that he'd be running a few minutes late, was prepared to do the work when he arrived and took time talking to me about exactly how I wanted the towel rack to look and what my options were. He hung it perfectly, even installing a washer so it wouldn't wobble on the wall. He took the door hinges off and spent quite a bit of time trying to repair them so that the door would close properly. After much effort, he advised me that at least one of the hinges was in disrepair and needed to be replaced. He explained what my husband needed to purchase and how to ensure a proper fit on the door. I am extremely pleased with his work and his pleasant demeanor. "Whew! Thanks to Anthony and his stepson, we finally have our new microwave installed. I spoke with several other handymen, who were all stumped about how to deal with the light bar beneath our cabinets which stuck out so that you couldn't simply lift the old micro straight down, nor lift the new micro straight up in order to install it. These other handymen either bowed out of the project because they thought it would go badly, or they said they would saw off the edge of the light bar and then glue it back on after the install. Yikes! After also seeing the pictures that I sent him (which I'd sent the other prospective handymen, too), believed that he could simply remove the light bar in it's entirety and then put it back on after he installed the micro. Bingo! He also had to trim off some of the existing tile backsplash (because the new micro was a bit taller than the old one). After nearly 3 months, we finally had our new microwave installed, and our light bar (a piece of wood at the bottom of the cabinets) replaced without being damaged. Thank you, Anthony! A very small piece of the tile on the backsplash separated/broke during the trimming, but you can't see it much. We're still very happy just to have the micro in and with no damage to the light bar. It would have been nice if he'd mentioned that little problem with the tile, rather than having me notice it later. Still, all in all, a very good job and we are happy. He charged $150 for 2 hours (he and his stepson), which included replacing the microwave, fixing a loose towel bar, patching and spacking a hole underneath a light fixture, and some other small things. AND, he came out the very next day after I spoke with him to do these repairs - the Friday before Christmas! Definitely pleased."

"The backstory: We purchased our house as a short sale 2 years ago.  During the inspection, we were informed that there were approximately $1800 of fascia repairs needed.  In Feb of 2013, we hired a handyman (not Rick) on a friend's recommendation to complete the repairs as well as repaint our driveway.  Well, the "repairs" which I was assured were complete just didn't last.   We watched freshly our painted fascia (and driveway, but that's another story) begin to chip and peel almost immediately, and get progressively worse over the course of a year and a half to the point where it was a complete eyesore.
The happy ending:  We decided to try a different route and find our handyman on Angie's List.  We called Rick at Handyman Service by TCS in early September.  He returned our call right away, and set up a time to come take a look at what we needed.  My wife works from home, so it was easy to get the repairs scheduled, but it can be a little nerve wracking to know strange men will be working around the house with my wife home alone.  We were immediately put at ease when we met Rick.  You could tell that he is just a really nice guy.  Rick and his employee Johan worked dilligently over 2 separate days to repair what could be repaired, and also to replace some very rotted (should have been replaced by the first guy!) fascia at a very high (scaffolding needed) peak of the house.  They also purchased some paint match paint to ensure the front of our house was even and beautiful.  They covered the 3 P's - prompt, polite and professional.  And the fact that they were way under the estimate from our inspection was the icing on the cake.  We will not hesitate to call Handyman by TCS again, and highly recommend them to our family and friends.
